whats a good time to resell cards?

    Posted: 18 Dec 2019 06:20 AM PST

I been thinking about re-selling my cards and buying better gear before they drop off the market \ harder to sell etc

    example

I bought 6 used RX580 sapphire 8gb S.E 150 CDN each (with box+receipts/warranty still good till mid 2020), I been mining with it for 8-9 months now and prices on kijij are the same when i bought it (150-200).

what would be good card to buy on the used market that i could repeat this process every 8-12 months?

    Wattage consumption for Radeon VII

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 09:50 PM PST

So I use nanominer to mine ethereum. I have always used nvidia gpus but after seeing the hashrate of the Radeon 7 i decided to start a AMD rig. I have 2 Radeon 7's hashing about 83mh/s each with MSI afterburner set to -10% power consumption, core clock set to 1800 and memory clock set to 1050 but I dont know the wattage consumption.

Nanominer on my nvidia rigs show the power watt consumption but for this AMD rig it does not show the power watt consumption. Anyone know how to turn power monitoring on for nanominer on AMD gpus?

Or does anyone know another program that will tell me the wattage of power consumption?

I have tried using speccy and hw monitor but it only shows voltage and im not sure of the resistance.

    Thanks for any help

How are you managing high electricy cost?

    Posted: 17 Dec 2019 09:31 AM PST

Well, the time has come where winter energy charge has arrived and my rig is now in the negatives if continued to mine.

Average cost per kWh for winter is $0.10 USD

Curious to hear what everybody is doing with high electricity rates, are you mining? using it for heat? I used mine for heat for the last 2 years, it has now come to an end, and converting the gpu into gaming rig to play some Call of Duty lol.
