Posted: 05 Dec 2019 11:38 AM PST We're excited to reveal the IDEX 2.0 demo! Starting today, users can access the IDEX 2.0 demo powered by O2 Rollup on the web and receive a pre-loaded wallet to begin trading. To accompany the launch of the demo, we are also hosting a trading competition on the demo starting December 16th, 2019. There are prizes for the top 50 traders and the user who refers the top trader, totaling over $200,000+ in prizes. Refer users to the competition to increase your starting balance and give yourself a leg up on the competition! IDEX 2.0 leverages the novel Optimized Optimistic Rollup solution which differentiates itself from other rollup designs as there is no limit to the number of off-chain transactions that can be included in each settlement transaction. This is in contrast to other rollup solutions where settlement costs increase with each additional transaction, and which assume consumption of all ETH network resources when calculating max throughput. IDEX 2.0 scaling is only limited by the performance of the off-chain matching engine setting the stage for competing head-to-head with centralized exchanges. We'd love to hear your feedback about IDEX 2.0! [link] [comments]

Real world adoption in decentralized insurance protocol Etherisc. Posted: 05 Dec 2019 01:42 PM PST TLDR: - Flight Delay insurance included into the UK FCA's regulatory sandbox. - Agreements with Brazilian distributor and low cost airline insurance distributor. - ILS working group working on business model and go to market strategies (ILS are insurance risks repackaged into tradable securities. They deliver fixed yield and are uncorrelated to economics cycles.) - MVP for crypto-backed lending insurance scheduled for Q4 - Hurricane Insurance for Puerto Rico in last steps of approval thanks to the Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico. - Substantial improvements in the Generic Insurance Template which is open for everybody to build an insurance on. Introducing ZK Sync: a trustless scaling and privacy solution for Ethereum Posted: 05 Dec 2019 06:48 AM PST Today, we at Matter Labs are excited to reveal our vision for ZK Sync, a trustless scaling and privacy solution for Ethereum based on ZK Rollup, with an emphasis on superb user and developer experiences. ZK Sync is designed to bring VISA-scale throughput to Ethereum while keeping the funds as secure as in underlying L1 accounts and maintaining a high degree of censorship-resistance. ZK Sync achieves this thanks to ZK Rollup architecture. An important aspect of the protocol is its ultra-low latency: transactions in ZK Sync will provide instant economic finality. ZK Sync features:
We're also proud to announce the launch of the devnet for ZK Sync. Please see the links below for more information: [link] [comments]

Does the percent of upgraded node should be concerning ? Posted: 05 Dec 2019 03:22 PM PST Not FUD here, real question, I don't remember the stats for the last fork. looking at https://ethernodes.org/istanbul We were at around 41% yesterday and we've lost something like 6% today, is there something wrong ? There's approx 49 hours left and I'm stunned to see we hasn't passed the 50% mark.. What happen if the majority don't upgrade, does that mean the "longest chain" will be the old one ? Does that mean there's a chance this become a contentious fork ? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
