Artist here that produces artwork on SuperRare just wants to thank the entire Ethereum community. Posted: 19 Dec 2019 05:02 PM PST I go under the name of Robness Cyberpop and I myself produce various types of artwork that grabs elements of Cyberpunk/Vaporwave/Pop Art elements. Currently because of the advancements of smart contracts I am collaborating with someone I've never even met in person on art and we both are doing well in sales while the profits are divvied up immediately(a promise that was made and kept by Ethereum developers years back). Not sure if the Ethereum community at large is aware of SuperRare.co or KnownOrigin.io and how they are breaking record sales by the week but just wanted to drop in spread the good news. These advancements are helping tons of artists around the globe make an actual living off of their work and it's just really great to see. Although those darn Cryptokitties like to take a lot of the limelight, there are artists right now developing styles that are truly revolutionary. Thanks everyone! [link] [comments]

Why will the beacon chain move beyond a testnet early next year? Posted: 19 Dec 2019 01:53 PM PST As far as I know there will be no utility from the beacon chain for a long time after it begins. ETH1 could take a couple years to use it for finality and until phase 1 the beacon chain will be useless, but it'll still be growing history, adding to inflation and increasing future client complexity as they'll have to handle both sides of early hardforks. What's the benefit to beginning the real thing so long before phase 1 over keeping a testnet running and having the genesis later? Development of 1.x could progress just as well relying on the testnet and the real thing can launch long enough before 1.x is ready to use it to get the follow distance down. [link] [comments]

Node-based Smart Contract Editing Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:01 PM PST Does anyone know of a "node-based" visual smart-contract builder? Something that uses established cryptographic primitives and libraries that would allow a user to build and deploy without knowing how to code? Something like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTCZFkICOlk Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Dec 2019 04:18 PM PST Hello, this is Jeayoung Han, the CEO at Mycoldwallet. I'm excited to announce the completion of our project Mycoldwallet. Prior to the project launch, to verify its security and guarantee its safety, we are planning to hold a Hacking Contest to the public. Everybody, please come and hack the blockchain account if you can!! 📷 Purpose of the event: To find any possible malfunctions or errors that can cause inconvenience or security problems. Anyone who can control the protection account without the signature of either the user or management system is the winner of the contest. Dates of the event 1st round: 10~15 of Dec. 2nd round: 16~22 of Dec. 3rd round: 23~29 of Dec. Prize for winners
** Critical bug: A situation that can make the protection account locked or have the assets in the account transferred to another place without the user signature. ** Normal bug: A situation that cannot control the protection account but that can cause small operational glitches. ** Any participants who find a problem or error in the program can contact [contactus@mcws.io](mailto:contactus@mcws.io) for the reward. ** The first verified detection is only valid for the reward. Detailed information a.Target protection account(Rinkeby Testnet) https://rinkeby.etherscan.io/address/0x8c67f07dcdcf8acb307f3b0500a6333c0e60002d b. ABI link of the protection account https://mycoldwallet.io/download/ProtectedAddress.zip ** The participants can use all the command words on the ABI file attached here. ** Explanation of Mycoldwallet: We are a cryptocurrency wallet service program that provides a Protection Account which is programmed with the Smart-contract. At the time of the account creation, the system registers two signatures in the account. One is a user's signature and the other is a management signature. The activation of the keys is controlled by a waiting period that the user selects on the account setup. During the waiting period, only the user's signature can control the account but when it expires the management signature can control the account. This waiting period is automatically renewed when there is a withdrawal in the account. I invite any hacker who is up to the challenge to help us improve our service.
