Imagine to easily create a financial portfolio or a complex derivative in 1 single ERC721 token?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:21 PM PST

Imagine to easily create a financial portfolio or a complex derivative in 1 single ERC721 token?

The main challenge is that derivatives may be different from each other (alike ERC-721), but any derivative contract can be created as many times as needed (alike ERC-20). Our solution combines ERC-721 and ERC-20 called ERC721o.

Оpium team slightly changed the ERC721 token standard, so it can be easily used to create any complex derivative. Yes, Futures, Options, IRS, CFD, CDS or any other derivative in a single token standard!

Also with ERC721o token standard, you can easily create your own "portfolio" token for example by combining 1 Future token and 5 Option tokens into one new "portfolio" token.

Each token represents a unique position: derivative parameters + LONG/SHORT characteristic. With this, you can create and own any amount of these tokens. If there are multiple LONG/SHORT tokens of a unique defined derivative, these tokens are also interchangeable.

Example code of minting derivative token:

    Minting new derivative token

Example code of creating "portfolio" token:

Composing future and option derivative tokens into portfolio

Are you interested in more details? Please ask us anything!

BIP39 Mnemonic Word List Order (Does it matter?)

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 05:12 PM PST

A friend of mine shared with me his Mnemonic Words + Key to help recover his wallet. He says he has money in that account but can't find it (classic derp moment).

I've been trying variations of the Wordlist order thinking he messed up the order but keep pulling wallets with 0 coins and 0 transactions (deterministic generation). Just background, not my direct question (although I'm python'ing up a key/25th-word bruteforcer as I type this). I'm experiencing issues with certain wallet software, MyCrypto in this example, where some word orders will refuse to pull up associated wallets.

I had thought the word order didn't matter? Are there really invalid word orders for Mnemonic to Wallet processes or does MyCrypto have a bug?

Thanks Ethereum for providing your Blockchain to build successful projects especially in the DeFi space.

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 01:43 AM PST

Ahh! DeFi completely powered by Blockchain and also a good use case of a Blockchain. These projects is being pretty much doing well to get the Blockchain adoption by getting out such valuable use cases as Decentralised Finance. What are the projects that you are currently involved in the DeFi space? Compound or Nuo ?

    Node.js App Payments

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 04:08 AM PST

I'm relatively new to Ethereum but I like the tech and I want to build a Ethereum payment system that doesn't require a 3rd party for a Node.js app I'm building.

My initial strategy was to make a smart contract and store an array (keyed by user ID) of values in ether, of that users balance. A user could deposit and withdraw this balance at will.

Ethereum experts: Would this be the right strategy/approach? Is anyone aware of a smart contract already written for this?
