New Uphold Account Suddenly, Permanently Closed w/o reason (FWIW, Uphold Sucks)

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 06:30 PM PST

So i recently decided to start using the new Brave browser. If you're not familiar, it's like Firefox built on Chrome that is supposed to give its users some percentage of the add revenues of those adds they choose to view. I'm over-simplifying, but you get the gist.

Users are paid in BAB - Basic Attention Token, so soon after downloading the browser, i was guided to set up an account with Uphold ( https://uphold.com ). I've had accounts with Coinbase, Kraken and a couple of others in the past, and figured wtf is one more. So i registered and sent photos of my ID to get verified, etc. That's when things went sideways.

I tried to sign in and couldn't. I received a message that my account had been closed. I contacted support and was told it had been permanently. That's it. Nothing else. No fucking explanation whatsoever.

Who does that? Ok, i think we can name some but the better question is Why? There's no reason for that, and i guess that's what pisses me off. Why not provide some explanation. Maybe it's an error, or misunderstanding or something. It's ridiculous and I'm pissed.

Has this happened to anyone else?

New Advisors for Standard Tokenization Protocol

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 01:04 AM PST

STP is a platform that helps anyone who is interested in tokenizing assets the legal way. Virtually any asset can be tokenized but the laws and regulations are not as easy to follow or too time-consuming.

STP enables anyone to issue a token that is fully compliant across jurisdictions and other requirements. Kenneth Oh, a senior partner in Dentons Rodyk's Corporate and Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology practices, has just joined the STP platform as an advisor.

STP will announce more advisors soon.

Police questioned me on my cryptocurrency use

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:58 PM PST

Cops at my door this morning questioned me about a crypto service I've been using for discounted items and a few vacations. They allege that stolen credit cards were used for the flights and hotels on vacation, I told them I used a service and then about the items I bought to be cooperative but now I think I might be in shit.

They say there's an ongoing investigation and expect my full cooperation. This is my first legal issue ever and I'm a bit worried. Is there anyway I can get in trouble or do I have to pay things back or will I get fined?
