I buy stuff all the time with crypto now. And I don't go out of my way to do it. Posted: 01 Dec 2019 11:36 AM PST It used to be more of a statement. It took extra effort and was a form of evangelism. Now I buy lots of stuff with BCH because it's easy. That is all... [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Dec 2019 09:52 AM PST I'm referring to their yearly fundraising efforts. I use archive.org a lot and I've seen its wayback feature used on this sub a lot also. Its webpage snapshots help to show the changing narratives of certain groups and to capture ridiculous things posted by enemies of BCH before they can erase the evidence. I noticed that they accept BCH directly by providing an address to send to and, other than putting it right below the BTC donation address, they don't unnecessarily denigrate BCH as some pages that request donations have done, intentionaly or not. If you feel that they are a worthy recipient, I'd encourage you to send BCH to them. The nice thing is we can even send tiny amounts due to the more efficient nature of BCH and its more originalist architecture. https://archive.org/donate/cryptocurrency/ Since they use a direct address for both currencies, we can verify which currency sent the most donations (and likely how much was wasted from fees) and hopefully give them a reason to put BCH at the top of the list next year! The claim that archive.org has received more BCH than BTC in the past comes from searching this subreddit to see if anyone has posted this info yet this year. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Dec 2019 01:12 PM PST What function does BTC serve in the crypto space at this point other than being a profit generating mechanism for early adopters and the ultra wealthy? Market manipulation is absolutely dominating, and everyone suffers except for a secret few insiders. I feel BTC both created and destroyed the potential of crypto. How are Alts supposed to gain value when they're all tied to BTC? Technicals mean nothing when a MM decides to swoop in and sell 3,000btc under market value and send the market into a free fall.
