    Samson Mow (CSO Blockstream) and Lina Seiche (ICO marketer) have lawyered up and are filing DMCA takedowns on anyone on Twitter reposting this pics

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 12:06 PM PST

    Reminder: Samson Mow is a wimpy bootlicking statist, he can dish it but he can't take it, so he mass reported and suspended this legendary memer and is filing a DCMA complaint against it. So much for cypherpunk. LOL

    It's amazing how many people have so little. These are the people who need BCH the most.

    When Bitcoin Cash becomes peer-to-peer electronic cash for the world...

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 10:37 PM PST

    The stunning beauty that is Bitcoin Cash becomes apparent when scaled to global levels.

    Firstly, increasing blocksize does not require increasing hashpower in order to achieve the same level of security thus, as blocks become larger, Bitcoin Cash becomes wildly more efficient. When Bitcoin Cash has global-scale blocks, it will be the most efficient and secure electronic cash system ever invented.

    Secondly, larger blocks have more transactions to pay for hashpower security. When Bitcoin Cash has global-scale blocks, 10B people transacting 50 times a day with a $0.005 TX fee generates $2.5B/day for miners, or 6,400 times today's Bitcoin Cash block reward. And before you think it impractical to push around TB blocks, think again, CTOR, Graphene, Xthinner etc., already compress BCH blocks to 0.5% in size, Starlink and the like will provide multi-Gb network access anywhere on the globe, and Moore's law will easily cater for the balance in the coming years.

    Lastly, by contrast, BTC must charge a $6,944 TX fee for every transaction, just to match this level of Bitcoin Cash security. On top of this, citizens can only make a single BTC purchase once every 76 years.

    edit: grammar

    Boost the usage (and price) of BCH with this simple use case. Print off paper tips loaded with say 5 dollars of BCH. When you take a taxi, eat in a restaurant or stay at a hotel leave a paper tip. If its not cashed in it returns to you in 30 days. No awkward sales pitch needed.

    Adoption Under the Radar - There are probably tons of restaurants near you that accept bitcoin cash and you just don't know it

    Posted: 29 Dec 2019 10:03 AM PST

    I saw this post on Member and wondered how Austin had so many btc/bch accepting merchants. I noticed a bunch of them use a service called Menufy which allows the merchant the option to accept btc/bch payments via Bitpay. Then I realized that there are actually a ton of bch accepting merchants near me too! I would assume it's only for online orders, but still pretty cool.

    I'd recommend going to the menufy site with the 2 letter abbreviation of your state (example: menufy.com/CA for California) and checking out what restaurants near you accept it. Just choose a restaurant near you and click the vertical ellipsis to reveal whether they have the bitcoin icon like this.

    I had always assumed there were no bitcoin accepting merchants near me since https://map.bitcoin.com never shows anything, but it looks like that page could potentially be updated to include hundreds of new merchants across the country!

    edit: Just published this to read.cash as well.

    I just realized, Dash isn't even a top 25 coin anymore. Clearly, the market doesn't value second-bests when it comes to money. Something either has to be top-dog, very unique, or its got to be pure pump n dump to attract the vicarious speculators. Thoughts on this?

    How do I go about borrowing bitcoin? It seems confusing

    Can somebody please explain how BCH is a decentralized project?

    Posted: 30 Dec 2019 01:11 AM PST

    Whilst viewing their roadmap I'm seeing the following statements;

    The Bitcoin Cash network has protocol upgrades twice a year, on November 15th and May 15th.

    And;

    These upgrades are required for all node operators.

    How is it that we are able to attain widespread consensus, twice every year, months in advance & in a truly decentralized system/network?

    Also, the second quote indicates that the pre planned hard forks aren't optional but mandatory. How is this not a developer led dictatorship? I don't get it.
