    Good people users of reddit.

    I am a web developer currently working as front end dev.

    2 years ago i invested 2000 euros to random coins in the crypto market, unfortunetly i have lost them all. Since then i lost interest about the crypto world, but lately i'v had feelings i should invest back again.

    But this time i want to invest as a hobby of mine, build a gpu rig and watch it as a baby <3.

    (I'm not looking to buy coins)

    I'm interested about yours opinion on mining gpu rigs ( how much money you/i can make monthly make, what graphic cards should i/you use, what processor what motherboard etc..)

    I want to invest around 2000 euros , and the price of electricity is 0.08$.

    P.S - I'm feeling weirdly happy that im writing this post, dont know why, or maybe it is because this is my first one. smileyface <3

    RX5700 series graphic cards has been out for few month now. But drivers for mining from AMD hasn't been the best. Recently most popular mining OS Simple-mining and hiveOS has added support for these graphic cards. It is not perfect but mining is doable on these cards now, and the results are impressive. Im not saying here GPU mining is now profitable, you still have to be mining fanatic like i am to build GPU mining rig with new hardware.

    My setup for 324mh/s mining rig:

    Over clocks used :

    • Core Clock 1340
    • Core Voltage 800
    • Memory clock 930-950

    • Memory clock 930-950(RX5700) 2030(RX570)

    There is nearly no difference in hash-rate RX5700 and RX5700XT . It is no point spending extra 20% on gpu to increase hashrate by less then 1%. So if you are mining Ethereum stick to RX5700
