I've been exploring BCHD's gRPC interface today, including substituting it in place of Insight in some of my projects. It really simplifies things. I suggest devs take a look. It can streamline quite a bit of your infrastructure.

Need some help (local businesses in my area want to set up where customers can tip employees in BCH and other cryptos)

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 05:43 PM PST

I can generate QR codes for the business to set up at the registers, but is there a more formal way to go about this. Any information to help spread adoption. Because most of these companies aren't willing to accept BCH and others for payment at the moment and I feel like introducing them to getting tips would help enlighten them.

    Thanks!

Hiring a developer to build a Post Office based on Vin Armani's Postage Protocol

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 09:15 AM PST

I'm looking to hire someone to build a Post Office compatible with the Postage Protocol

    https://link.medium.com/xyH6qv00I1

    https://github.com/simpleledger/slp-specifications/blob/master/slp-postage-protocol.md

In addition to functioning as specified above, I need some way to allow specified applications to have access to pricing per stamp custom to their application. I'll also need a way to add new tokens later. A config file or something is fine.

I am paying with BCH and it will be released open source. If this is something you can build please get in touch with me. DM me here, or @bchinjim on Telegram, or bchinjim@protonmail.com. Please be prepared to show evidence of your skill and experience. Thank you.

New contract versions are designed to give more financial security to receivers with termination restrictions.

version 1.1 - Improved general purpose Mecenas contract including everything I learned since I released the first one - better portability, compatibility with spedn-sdk, removed problems with the last payout.

version 2.0 - As 1.1 but mecenas can terminatee the contract only if protege don't access the contract for a month after it's ready to be taken,

version 3.0 - terminating the contract requires agreement of 2 of 3 contract using Simple Escrow approach - just bitconcash:q.. addresses are needed.

Moreover a new contract creator and a better contract list.

    Address reuse question

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 02:41 PM PST

I always here the advice 'never reuse Bitcoin addresses'

Does an individual user actually have any control over address reuse? For example a user gives out their address for payment, the user does not have any control over the person making the payment. So the person could send multiple sends to that single address, and suddenly the user has used an address multiple times.

Is this how it works? In this case the advice 'never reuse addresses' seems foolish. A person does not have control over whether their addresses are reused or not.

In addition, how does the advice apply to SLP tokens, SLP addresses, and minting baton addresses?

The New Generation of Bitcoin Analytics - ScalpexIndex

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 02:18 AM PST

We all know that when it comes to trading, the market mood is one of the most difficult aspects to keep track of. In the case of cryptocurrencies - even more so. A swing from buy to strong sell in a matter of hours is part of Bitcoin's daily pattern, which often ends up catching traders off guard. As a solution to grasping the volatile moods of the even more volatile currency - ScalpexIndex was born.

    What is it about?

The ScalpexIndex team undertook a massive amount of work to create a superior, AI-infused bitcoin sentiment analysis mechanism, which 'learns' on data from crypto exchanges & social media platforms from 2016 until this very moment to help traders capture the market mood before it becomes apparent, hence resulting in more weighted and profitable trading decisions.

    Which tools do I get?

From the core of the Social Index, which accurately displays the current market mood in a user-friendly barometer format, the ScalpexIndex platform is further equipped with a Fear & Greed Index, Market Order Flow, Open Interest, Walls, Hidden Orders and Liquidations' Detector, and much more. In other words - it is the all-in-one toolbox for enhanced Bitcoin trading decisions.

    • Social Index - collecting and analyzing data from a variety of sources. From Facebook, Twitter and Telegram, to all leading crypto exchange chats (i.e: BitMEX) to capture the market mood before it becomes apparent. Perfect for trading with the market, as well as counter-trading.
    • Fear & Greed Index - used alongside the Social Index to capture an even fuller scope of crowd reactions and make more weighted trading decisions.
    • Market Order Flow - the ratio of market buy : market sell orders.
    • Open Interest - the total size of all active positions. A useful indication of the asset's general appeal to traders. Includes all OI history.
    • Wall Detector - through automatic orderbook monitoring on various exchanges, the tool identifies large buy and sell orders, thereafter displaying them conveniently in an event log format. Useful for placing SL/TP.
    • Hidden Order Identification - similarly to the wall detection tool, this mechanism spots hidden orders, and informs users of their last price and amount filled in the event log.
    • Liquidation Alert - a timely liquidations' monitor alerts traders of all major liquidations, giving them space to adjust their trading decisions.

I paid nearly 100USD in transaction fees for BTC core

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 05:01 AM PST

daily, im forced to buy /SELL bitcoin on localbitcoins.com since there is no other platform here in pakistan with good volume.

so i was checking my BTC wallet on localbtc and to my surprise, i have lost 100USD just on transaction fees ( besides the platform fee of 0.75 % ) . ( for the last 2 months )

BTC is useless as a daily commerce vehicle now .

im working hard to introduce ppl here to BCH and local.bitcoin.com where atleast we are not ripped off on transaction fees
