Backup all wallets before android 10 upgrade Posted: 08 Sep 2019 11:10 PM PDT Just upgraded to Android 10, and it looks like the encryption key store or whatever it's called is reset during the upgrade. This causes your phone to lose access to all the locally stored wallet files and such. So make sure you have all your seeds and private keys backed up before you upgrade. [link] [comments]

It’s time for a discussion of what is allowed here!! Posted: 08 Sep 2019 02:17 PM PDT This sub used to be a good way to keep up with the latest and greatest in the crypto space. It introduced me to a lot of coins/tokens. Some good, some not. But at least it opened the door for me to look into the project and make my own decision. Now you get downvoted and called a shill or a bag holder for even mentioning anything outside the top two. So what is r/CryptoCurrency now? Meme's only? Is there a rule that I somehow overlooked about posting for the average person? Do I have to be an elitist crypto guru? It's insane the lack of courtesy and respect for others opinions. It's ok to disagree, but at least be constructive when voicing an opposed opinion. So what am I missing? Is there a sub that still has reasonable discussion about potential projects and allows for dialogue without the stupid "it's a shill" crap? [link] [comments]

Opinions on Exodus Wallet, Anycoin Direct and Coinbase? Posted: 09 Sep 2019 03:07 AM PDT I'm JUST starting off with crypto. I intend to start off really small (€10 - €20 - money that I wouldn't really miss) and see how it goes. A colleague recommended Exodus wallet but I've come across posts that highlight some problems with it (e.g. it isn't open source or peer reviewed apparently?). There seem to be a LOT of different wallets out there and I'm a bit overwhelmed with the choice. I get the impression that Hardware Wallets are the most recommended and the safest and while I will likely get a hardware wallet at some point in the next few years (the plan is to buy it with whatever money I make off of trading crypto, if I ever make any money at all) for now, I'd liket to start with as little upfront costs as possible. Is Exodus all right or would you recommend something else? Is it possible to have something that you can use both on the PC as well as on mobile? I don't know if there's something that can sync data between the two devices... Other than that, I intend to use anycoidirect.eu and Coinbase (again, recommendations from a colleague). So far I don't seem to have seen very negative opinions about the two so I guess they're okay? Do you guys have a specific preference? If so, why? Is it okay to use both or should I really just stick with one? I intend to (eventually) invest in and trade multiple currencies. [link] [comments]

I’m 17 and was wondering what the best way to legally buy crypto is. Posted: 09 Sep 2019 04:12 AM PDT I am interested in experimenting with programs such as Cryptohopper but since I am under the age of 18 I lack the ability to purchase crypto through platforms such as binance. What would be the best/most secure way to go about purchasing some crypto that I could link up with my Cryptohopper account. I have my own debit card. [link] [comments]
Ask r/cryptocurrency What subs/groups have you been banned from and why? Posted: 08 Sep 2019 07:10 PM PDT Etherparty/Vanbex - Banned from Telegram a legit question as to whether or not they used investor funds to buy personal property/assets. Substratum - Banned on Reddit/Telegram for asking semi-trolling questions about Justin Tabb and use of investor funds. Verge - Banned from Reddit for calling them delusional when they were speculating a partnership (later confirm to be with Pornbub) was with Amazon. [link] [comments]
