ETH network is clogged, time for BCH to shine Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:46 PM PDT i missed two trades on localethereum.com just because the escrow was opening in 30 mins vs the usual 1 min or so . turns out that USDT ERC20 token movement has totally clogged ethereum and has rendered the network useless and now tether has announced ERC20 Yuan tether this is time for BCH to shine . we must lobby to companies to launch their tokens on BCH SLP . https://www.trustnodes.com/2019/09/11/100000-transactions-stuck-as-tether-clogs-ethereum [link] [comments]

I did it - adoption success story Posted: 11 Sep 2019 01:52 PM PDT So I have a personal trainer that is pretty young and into technology in general. I got to talking about BCH during one of our sessions and she seemed to already know about bitcoin. To make a long story short, she now has a bitcoin.com wallet and accepts BCH from me! I got a 10% discount on my next 10 sessions as well!!! I'm going to be losing tons of weight and I might actually be able to say that BCH helped me do it lol. [link] [comments]
My experience with the lightning network. Posted: 11 Sep 2019 09:25 AM PDT I, @ComputingFTW , was 193rd in the lightning torch. I never trusted the LN for long term storage. So I tried to buy a sticker from Blockstream. My $8 balance did not make a $6 payment. I tried to order less a $4 order.
The strange thing is that my balance did not change. So that meant that either:
This last option would mean the the LN is DOA. I was able to rule out the second option because I donated the remaining balance in full to Jochen Hoenicke Now I have no lightning balance to worry about and I like it that way. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Sep 2019 11:58 AM PDT Here is the WHOIS record for Lightning.Network domain: Here is video presentation of Lightning Network from march 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zVzw912wPo By February 2015 Lightning Network was already long under way. I also remember the first draft of their Whitepaper and it was from end of 2014. Unfortunately it is not possible to find it currently. Or is it? Can you find it? Prize awaits. EDIT: OK, most probably I am misremembering and off by few months, the publicly available whitepapers are from 2015 or later... If nobody finds the older version until tomorrow, I will just split the reward between 2 people who convinced me of the truth. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Sep 2019 02:46 AM PDT These Tether guys sure have a great sense of humor! Not only are they printing $300 million out of thin air, they're adding "FuckCoinCash (#746)"and "Fuck us? No. Fuck you." to their blockchain. Here comes the BTC pump, boys. And this time they're likely bringing the other $275 million USDT they printed last month and didn't use to pump BTC. I'm fine selling them some 1MB-tarded coin for some cheap BCH. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Sep 2019 11:46 AM PDT Hey all! I've just released v1.8.0 after staying up all night finishing the update after watching Josh Ellithorpe's Privacy of Wallets Bitcoin Cash City talk. v1.8.0 is titled "The Privacy Update". This update enables and/or adds many privacy and anonymity protections for users. Part of v1.7.9 is tied to this update. v1.7.9 changed some of the UI so I could enable BIP32 support for Crescent Cash. (SLP wallet is still single address). v1.8.0:
I still have some work to do, but this is the first step in improving privacy of Crescent Cash! Enjoy! Download: https://crescent.cash/download [link] [comments]

Documentation of my Lightning network experience. Posted: 11 Sep 2019 10:18 AM PDT So people are asking for documentation. Here's the announcement on twitter of me receiving the Lightning torch Here's all the transactions in my wallet of Satoshi LN wallet Keith sent me 100 sats to demonstrate how it worked. I sent myself 199k sats so I could add to the torch. Keith sent me the over 3M sats (which is the torch) I sent just a little bit more to Pedro. Then I must have tried it out with a donation of 2k sats. Then the payment was made that doesn't show up that got me a blockstream sticker. Here's the email that blockstream sent Hi Darren, Thank you for your order, it has been received and is now being processed. Your order details are shown below for your reference. Please contact us at store@blockstream.com if you have any questions. Sincerely, Blockstream Store Order Number: 9795 Order Date: February 14, 2019 Product Quantity Price "I Got Lightning Working" Sticker Subtotal: $ 1.99 Shipping: $ 3.00 via Standard shipping Payment method: Bitcoin Lightning Total: $ 4.99 Here's the very last payment I made to Johoen Here's a screen shot that i made in February of the failed payments I've been on this ride before. There may be a few posts below about this being customer error. That only amplifies what a poor payment method the LN network is. So my documentation that a payment went through on the lightning network but did not effect my balance. Evidence that the network was out of consensus. [link] [comments]
