A Guided Reading of Bitcoin's Original White Paper

    Posted: 29 Jul 2019 09:39 AM PDT

How does Bitcoin work? Why does it work?

I get it, researching these questions can be frustrating and the white paper is a bit dense. It's much easier to browse Reddit for insightful comments and get the latest blurbs from your favorite news outlets. However, if this has been your strategy, you should proceed with caution. Crypto has become a space where information and news are incredibly biased. It's a reality in large part due to how easily sentiment can sway prices.

This is why I started the White Paper Center. The goal of the podcast is to provide impartial, simplified guided readings of cryptocurrency white papers. Those long technical papers can now become easily digestible in just 10-20 minutes of a well-structured podcast.

Every week or two, I plan to add new episodes. This week, we have a guided reading of Satoshi Nakamoto's 2008 white paper, "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System."

    Hope you all enjoy.

The real question is who, or what you trust in more. Politicians or the mathematical framework that is bitcoin and the blockchain. Take your pick.

Since we're bored while waiting at 9500... I've got a joke! Tone Vays, Alessio Rastani, and a whale walk into a bar.

    Posted: 29 Jul 2019 09:24 PM PDT

Tone Vays, Alessio Rastani, and a whale walk into a bar.

The bartender says "What'll you have?"

Tone Vays says he'll order as soon as a red nine drops below the top of a green eight in a four hour sequential.

Alessio Rastani says "What I'll tell you is this. As you can see here, according to this data, or this information on a chart, and by the way, a chart is information depicted in numbers that signify digits, in other words, numerals representing digits, or in other words, numbers. And by the way, essentially why that matters is this, that this is also a major sign. Also I should mention, the bottom line is this guys, in other words, this, the bottom line, which I'm expressing by using words, in other words this meaning which means this in words meaning this which other than words means which words in meaning other than this..."

The whale looks at the bartender and says "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUGH!!!!!!!!!!!"
