Survey on the use of Decentralized Exchanges

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 06:25 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

I am doing a little research on the use of decentralized exchanges and I would really appreciate if you took part.

It only takes 2-3 minutes maximum!

    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeMRvqF-J05jmOhsnTtFZYanlzcxzog7MxsZzNOncWeNAK6tA/viewform

Since this is important to me, I'll be giving away some of my NFTs (an Axie Infinity and two CryptoKitties)! Just enter your Email at the end of the survey to join the raffle. This is obviously optional and anonymous.

I'm really interested in what you guys are going to say and I am going to be sharing the results with you here in the next weeks.

P.S. feel free to forward this to any other crypto traders you know

Thank you geth developers. Was able to successfully sync from block 0 while travelling using geth 1.9

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 05:02 PM PDT

TBH was not looking forward to resyncing from block 0 as have done it a couple of times in the past but had to do it using a Macbook Pro while travelling with access to variable internet speeds. Decided to try the MacOS binary 1.9.0-unstable instead of 1.8.27-stable.

Started fast sync with --syncmode=fast --cache=4096 and let it go overnight. By morning the current block was just behind the highest block and pulledStates was 58 M. Had to exit geth and travel to my next destination. Started geth again with fast sync and was surprised to see it start syncing from the block and pulledState when I quit geth and not restart from 0. Don't know how this magic happened but 1.9 has a new directory called "ancient" in the chaindata directory. Anyway over the next 4 days was able to pull all of the knownStates (>312 M) and end up with a synced node (chaindata size of 156 GB).

Not sure what the roadmap is for geth but hopefully it won't be too long before geth 1.9 becomes stable and replaces 1.8.x.

Looks like I don't need a $70K "Mac Ethereum node" after all 🙂

DeFi user studies - 1 Minute Survey!

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 01:56 PM PDT

    Hey /r/ethereum !

I'm trying to get a better grip over how people interact within the DeFi space. Having spent a lot of time scouring the web for info regarding the same, and accessing on chain data, there isn't as much concrete data.

It'd be great if DeFi folks here can spent a quick 1 minute filling out this form. Your 1 minute will help a lot, considering theres only atleast 10,000-15,000(roughly) users within the DeFi space right now.

    SURVEY

The survey goes over a set of basic questions surrounding DeFi.

    All data is collected anonymously

    Thanks Ethereum reddit!

As for other applications aside from Dharma, where can you recommend me and why?

    The Cereneum Token is Live!

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 02:30 PM PDT

The Cereneum project has just launched on the Ethereum blockchain which allows people to claim their BTC, BCH, BSV, ETH, and LTC for Cereneum at a 1:10 BTC to CER ratio. Staking these tokens will earn you interest. Staking will be disabled until 2 weeks into the project, so don't worry if you can't claim right now.

CrypTrove Games is developing an RPG dungeon crawler called King's Ascension, and a trading card game called Terra Novus that will use Cereneum as their currency in game.

Use the referral link in my profile to get 10% extra tokens from your claim!
