    Launch of FiatMarketCap website

A while back I was chatting with a friend about how often we open up CoinMarketCap website each day to check on Bitcoin. Everything is denominated in USD even though it's a poor store of value. Why not have a FiatMarkteCap website where everything is denominated in BTC?

A quick search on Google and I found an archived reddit post on this exact topic, but links within have either died or taken over by domain catchers.

So I decided to create FiatMarketCap, the goal is to:

    1. Have a laugh seeing everything denominated in BTC
    2. Track Bitcoin rise against major fiat currencies in the coming month/years
    3. Highlight why fiat currencies are poor store of value compared to BTC

And what better day to launch the website than a day where BTC goes back above 9k. ;)

Suggestions or feedbacks are very welcome!

As of this post, BTC is ranked:

    • 35th as a currency
    • 49th as a country

A popular argument I hear about bitcoin is that it consumes too much electricity. All complex civilizations are destined to move up the Kardashev scale, and bitcoin will enable us to do that more quickly.
