u/Eragmus works for Blockstream and used Reddit to help take over r/Blockstreams

    Posted: 02 May 2019 12:08 PM PDT

I made the sub r/Blockstreams on January 31, 2016. The idea was to expose Blockstream for their lies. The sub is very simple. All I did was submit cross links to posts from other people that exposed Blockstream and all their fraud so it was in one place. It wasn't something I did often unless it was really important issue or I felt it needed to be saved for later. I didn't advertise it or ask people to join it or anything, it was just there for reference. Here it is archived from February 21, 2018: https://web.archive.org/web/20180221162451/https://reddit.com/r/Blockstreams/

As it turns out, I logged in today to find out r/Blockstreams is set to private so nobody can view it at all. Little does u/eragmus know that I can still access the sub - you idiot! I can see that you are the mod now and have changed the sub to private. Screen shots: https://imgur.com/a/lNKnnQM

This confirms without a shadow of a doubt that u/eragmus with the help of Reddit was able to take over the r/Blockstreams sub. Just how was he able to do it? My guess is that he filed some sort of copyright or trademark claim being that he works for Blockstream and was able to takeover the sub using the name Blockstream without my consent.

u/eragmus was a mod for r/bitcoin too. He was appointed as mod there on January 16, 2018. Archive from r/Bitcoin mod list from September 28, 2017: https://web.archive.org/web/20170928121906/https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/about/moderators

He has since left r/Bitcoin mods, sometime between September 28, 2017 and December 7, 2017. You can see the December archive that he is no longer a mod: https://web.archive.org/web/20171207124341/https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/about/moderators

Luckily because I can still see the sub I was able to copy over all the content. I moved it all to r/Blockstream_Exposed for now. I tried to add it over in the same order that it was originally in r/Blockstreams. Going forward I will need a couple of other moderators to join just in case to avoid any other future takeover attempts as it's clear this is stuff Blockstream does not want any of you to see. I would also like some of you to submit posts to the sub from time to time to keep it going if you want. Only posts that are relevant to Blockstream's dirt will be added, everything else that is not relevant will be removed.

I will only add trusted people within this sub as a mod there. If people don't know you I won't add you, sorry.

To u/eragmus and the rest of Blockstream: You cannot the stop the flow of information no matter how hard you try. You cannot censor it. The internet never forgets. We will continue our mission of Bitcoin as peer to peer cash for the world and we won't let you continue to destroy it.

The delist Tether campaign gets new momentum as Coinbase CEO gives his views

    Posted: 02 May 2019 03:16 PM PDT

Discussion - What will happen if tomorrow Tether closes down?

    Posted: 02 May 2019 02:58 PM PDT

I'm trying to anticipate what effect it might cause to the market. Personally, I speculate that the prices of crypto may remain stable but the biggest losers are the people holding on to the Tethers (which is worthless the moment Tether closes down). The reason is that every trade has a buyer and a seller, so even if Tether holders want to cash out to Bitcoin (or other cryptos), they would have to sell their Tethers (which means some other buyer will now own the Tethers).

What do you guys think? The price of crypto will go down? go up? And what's your reasoning behind it.
