Looks like the Court is fed up with Wright's Tulip Trust excuses - Motion for Protective Order denied, must produce substantial info next week.

    Posted: 03 May 2019 05:33 PM PDT

    https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6309656/166/kleiman-v-wright/

The Court has already found that tracing Dr. Wright's bitcoin holdings is relevant to the Plaintiffs' theft claims. The order to produce a list of bitcoin holdings as of December 31, 2013, was a compromise; it was the Court's attempt to provide Plaintiffs with relevant and material evidence without unduly burdening Dr. Wright. That Dr. Wright now argues it is not feasible for him to identify the bitcoin he held on December 31, 2013, does not diminish Plaintiffs' entitlement to the pertinent evidence. That evidence can be obtained through other means, which the Court will authorize Plaintiffs to use.

That last bit is a little ominous...

In addition to producing a list of addresses, the Court has further instructed Wright to provide substantial information and documentation about the trust, and swear to what he submits. He's not given much time to do so, either.

    1. On or before May 8, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Dr. Wright shall provide to Plaintiffs a sworn declaration identifying the name and location of the blind trust, the name and contact information for the current trustee and any past trustees, and the names and contact information of any current or past beneficiaries.

    2. On or before May 9, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Dr. Wright shall produce to Plaintiffs a copy of any and all documents relating to the formation, administration, and operation of the blind trust. The production shall be accompanied by a sworn declaration of authenticity.

    3. On or before May 15, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Dr. Wright shall produce all transactional records of the blind trust, including but not limited to any records reflecting the transfer of bitcoin into the blind trust in or about 2011. The production shall be accompanied by a sworn declaration of authenticity.

    4. Dr. Wright shall execute any and all documents, or other legal process, necessary to effectuate the release of documents in the possession, custody, or control of the Trustee.

Peter McCormack: ”Why are so many people okay with Tether's recent news? I thought this was the shit we are trying to get away from.”

    Posted: 03 May 2019 02:40 PM PDT

[Insert company, bank name] has a new cryptocurrency! Yay! Now let's turn our brains back on: Does it have centralized control? [Yes] Then it might as well be a database. Does it do anything novel? [Nope] Then it's an underperforming duplicate.

    Posted: 03 May 2019 08:20 AM PDT

Don't get hyped on Suckerberg coin or any other company/bank coin trash. These corporate assholes aren't creating anything new. They hire sub-par devs and build these projects to get a 2% bump in their stock price.

In reality when we get Nikeshoe coin or Starbux coin, they just dilute the space and are not interoperable. It's basically a punch-card rewards program with a fancy name.

When they do this, it confuses new users and falsely give them the idea that crypto is about trust and centralized control.

The very structure of Bitcoin (Cash) means that it is outside the control/capture of any one entity, whether that be a company or a dictatorship. Bitcoin Cash has decentralized development that must be defended by miners willing to protect those protocol upgrades over time. Bitcoin Cash needs a decentralized network for security purposes, which is why it uses a blockchain.

Permissioned entities don't need a blockchain if they plan to freeze or rollback any transactions they don't approve of.

If it's centralized, it's no different than ApplePay or Paypal or Square or Blockstream or Ripple any other attempt to control people and the money they earn. Only Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is decentralized in development and operation. All other coins have been captured and subdued.

    A question about Lightning Network

    Posted: 04 May 2019 01:37 AM PDT

    Assume this LN transaction:

    A -> B -> C -> D

For this example, let's assume sufficient outbound liquidity in the A > B channel and the C > D channel, but all the tokens in the B > C channel are already all on C's side so B has no outbound liquidity.

Since nobody knows the state of the B > C channel except B & C, what cryptographic proof prevents B & C from agreeing to accept and route the transaction anyway? Can't they agree to just "put it on B's tab" and settle up some other way?

A tweet that won't age well: "I love Tether." - Blockstream CSO

    Posted: 03 May 2019 10:24 AM PDT

Just a reminder: Blockstream's Adam Back and Gregory Maxwell were intimately involved in the Bitfinex deal to pay the reward to the person who found out who the Bitfinex hacker was

    Posted: 03 May 2019 07:27 AM PDT

As you can read here Adam Back and Gregory Maxwell pgp signed to escrow the funds for the release of the identity of the Bitfinex hacker.

They were both intimately involved with this process which is yet another huge red flag that Blockstream is in bed with Bitfinex. Later it turns out they NEVER released the funds to the person referred to as "BM" (BitMessage; anonymous person).

Bitfinex is an investor in Blockstream too. Their own employee admitted that Bitfinex is invested in Blockstream during the seed round (start @ 1:20): https://youtu.be/fActT2J1ROo

Andreas Antonopoulos ("Delivering Liberty at Scale") DEBUNKED in 7.5 Minutes - from Bitcoin Out Loud

    Posted: 03 May 2019 01:38 PM PDT

I thought r/bitcoin censorship was about "shilling BCH" etc. But its also about BTC/LN.

    Posted: 03 May 2019 03:11 PM PDT

Please see how they justify it. Or rather not justify it. But first take a look at my questions.

    https://imgur.com/a/XvsOUwW

I just made this account and never posted anything other than that*. And I got banned. The 2nd comment was removed.

Can someone here answer my questions?

For the last question I now assume that I cant be 100% assured at all? In that case there seems to be no point (security wise) in more decentralization through small blocks, which make LN etc. necessary for most transactions.

I think I can put BashCo's username in this post in some way, so that he gets notified about it. Could someone tell me how that works? Maybe he wants to try to justify the ban in public.

*except "lol!" and "I mean lol @ Bitcoin as digital gold rather than p2p e-cash." But that was not the reason for the ban. It didnt even get removed.
