Looking Bitpay Alternative For Accepting Payment on Website Marketplace

    Posted: 01 May 2019 01:13 AM PDT

Currently I'm setting up a website based on Wordpress / Woocommerce. Integrating Bitpay payment channel is a piece of cake and currently it works better than my kidneys on testnet. But I have some concerns and looking for alternative payment coorps.

1- After the invoice, payment page gives you a website url for payment channel. This thing works good on Electrum PC but I couldn't grab the payment address on Bread / iOS. Obviously there will be other wallet softwares that will not support this new system. Safer but not well adopted. Or customer might want to pay directly from exchange's withdraw page or message the payment address to his/her friend etc. (Not safe but copying payment address works on all wallets, obviously). Is there a workaround for copying this Bitpay payment channel's address? Google says nope.

2- As I remember, there was a boycott going on for Bitpay or Coinbase or something like that. This is an another reason for me to think an alternative. Anyone remember something like that? I don't want to spread something bad for good.

3- Coingate looks like a good alternative. I'm not going to use fiat options, just cryptocurrency but there are some bad reviews about this website. All I want is a secure website with optimal fees %1 that gives me a reasonable deposit address that people can use freely.

Better ideas, anyone? I'd appreciate it.

    For those that played Runescape

    Posted: 30 Apr 2019 03:45 PM PDT

Do you see the similarities between bitcoin and rares in the game like party hats? There is only a certain amount of party hats in the game and they were cheap and easy to get when they first came out. Then they were discontinued and they kept rising in value over time.

I just looked at a website selling them for USD and the price of a blue party hat is $5,150! All that money just for an item only valued by the limited amount of people that play Runescape.

So if the community of just one game can make a digital item be worth so much, how much could Bitcoin be worth if it was adopted globally?

    WW3 and bitcoin

    Posted: 01 May 2019 03:23 AM PDT

So lets imagine that ww3 would not destroy everything completely. Would acquiring bitcoin paper wallet be a smart move before such world wide crisis? Or physical gold? Not even mentioning food and water, which are the number 1 priority. What are your thoughts? How would such events affect Bitcoin value? Due to the fucked up banking system we see today.
