Main stream adoption starts with an easy way to create applications.

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:01 PM PDT

At Atra Blockchain Services we have been creating a platform for devs/non-devs to build Ethereum applications. We recently released our beta platform at https://console.atra.io. We think it's really important for everyone to be able to build on Ethereum equally.

It's completely free, not payment info or wallet required, no ICO, no token, just driven by pure passion for Ethereum and the community.

Users can building end-to-end applications with the 3 initial services:

    • dTables - Data Storage
    • Triggers - Business Logic
    • LiteUI - User Interface

The entire platform is mobile friendly, meaning you can create a dapp from your phone, if you want!

We also offer an API for you devs as well.

We have a really easy walkthrough or creating your first dapp in our console docs.

Here is a look at a live dapp that's created by the tutorial: https://console.atra.io/app/44d48da9-8451-4da4-80ec-d453e719a210

Let us know what you think, if you hate it, love it, or want to see something else.

Launchdapp - Hosting your dapp made simple

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 11:03 AM PDT

    Hey all,

I built a platform called launchdapp.io. It makes hosting your dapp frontend really easy. You just git push and your dapp goes live. Lot of students who take my Ethereum courses (zastrin.com) struggle with hosting their dapps. So I created this. It currently supports projects that use Truffle React, Webpack and Vue.js boxes. More integrations in the works. If you are interested in trying it out, request an invite at https://www.launchdapp.io/. Thank you!

    EIP0, Signalling, and Governance

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 02:34 PM PDT

Does anyone know the current status of stuff discussed at the EIP0 Summit?

The signers of this public statement commit to supporting one or more of the following next steps:

    1. Work on a statement of shared values of Ethereum, trying to extract those from the original mission of the project but also from the voice and current expectations the wide range of stakeholders have.
    2. Support and build open source tools to collect key signals and metrics from the Ethereum community (via grants, for example). Examples of signals are coin voting, transaction volume, number of contracts deployed, number of ERCs submitted, number of GitHub contributions, hash power, prediction markets for possible forks, and public statements from relevant teams and individuals.
    3. Host a monthly governance call, starting with representatives of each team, defining working groups to get deeper into the individual topics, and opening up a part of the call for an AMA.
    4. Organize a second #EIP0 Summit, building on the model we have started to develop and expanding opportunities for interaction from viewers not in physical attendance (time, location and participants to be determined).

What happens with tokenized items, such as for instance a building, when there is a contentious hard fork?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:22 PM PDT

The polka dot fork comes to mind. Ownership of an item can be transferred on one blockchain but not the other, right? Or?

Is Parity Fether beta ready to use now that it's running on the mainnet ?

    Posted: 23 Apr 2019 11:17 PM PDT

I understand this is beta software but it's not clear to me if they are saying it's beta in the "the ui might need some tweaking sense" or in the "we're still working out details in our protocol implementation" sense.

I'm not an expert in this area so please forgive me if this is a dumb questions but I'm pretty excited to try Fether.
