I'm about to add Bitcoin Cash support to my peer-to-peer poker project - any suggestions / caveats? Posted: 14 Apr 2019 01:54 PM PDT Hi everyone, I'm about to add Bitcoin Cash support to CypherPoker.JS and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions or caveats? I've already integrated BTC and have spent some time developing Ethereum smart contracts so I have a pretty good idea of how to create / sign / post transactions and it's my understanding that BCH is nearly identical to BTC, especially when it comes to the command-line API (I was planning to use Bitcoin ABC), and basic transactions -- I really just need to send and receive (check balances & confirmations). I'd prefer using HD wallets to derive deposit addresses, if possible, but I can work with individually created addresses (non-HD), too if it's simply not an option. For the desktop version of CypherPoker.JS I'd really like to use a native client (like Bitcoin ABC), that can integrate with Node.js and for the web version it's been suggested that I use a few services to post and read transactions / addresses: https://developer.bitcoin.com Is there something I should be aware of that might save me some headaches and does anyone have any suggestions beyond what I've mentioned? Looking forward to making BCH a part of my project! Many thanks in advance. [link] [comments] | ||
