Bitcoin - Are Bears as euphoric as Bulls back in the 2017? This hints for a reversal (bullish). Published February 1, 2019

    https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/j5ie5wjC-Bitcoin-Are-Bears-as-euphoric-as-Bulls-back-in-the-2017/

The current price movement is showing a lot of similarities what we have seen in the past back in the time when bulls were euphoric.
(NOTE: Chart on the right side is inverse version from the current price action)

Are bears getting as euphoric as bulls back in the 2017?
Maybe, it's hard to say but what we know that the majority of people are gone and lost their interest to cryptocurrencies.
Which means that they have given up and those who are left are expecting bitcoin to move below $3.000 price point and beyond. There are few things that reveals this information and one of them is a sentimental analysis.
Sentimental analysis is form of a data which is gathered from various of sources (for example from social media, some indicators that are built for these purposes and general atmosphere among the traders/investors) to create an analysis and adjust trades according to it.

It's very common to see extreme emotional behavior at the very top or bottom of the markets. People are either very pessimistic or optimistic and this gives a chance to be a contrarian. It's very rare to see the price move along with consensus when the sentiments are extreme.

Bitcoin is showing a fractal that's often to used to study the current price movement. Basically it means that there are a lot of similarities with what we have already seen in the past and can be compared to the current price movement as it looks a like. Often formations, trading behaviors and trading pattern tends to repeat that we have seen in the past.

However, there's something to keep in mind that the price movement will never be exactly the same when compared to the past and should treated as a study to give possible hints for the current price movement. Outcome often differs and that's why it's important to be careful here.

QuadrigaCX cold wallets lost, Founder/CEO allegedly died in India

    Posted: 31 Jan 2019 03:21 PM PST

Suspicious level of negligence, lack of succession plan for one of the oldest exchanges in Canada. Speculation that he faked his death or committed suicide to avoid accountability.

What was your most profitable investment? (Bitcoin or others)

    Posted: 01 Feb 2019 07:44 AM PST

A lot of us that have been in the market for the past year or two have experienced some pretty wild swings, it's likely that many of you were a part of the boom that happened in 2017, during that time for me personally, I experienced some pretty major gains but also a decent amount of losses. I'd like to share one of my successes, as I'm sure you have your own as well which I encourage you to share, I think we can get a pretty interesting post going with some nice success stories. If you haven't experienced any successes with Bitcoin, that's fine as well. I think that discussing different investment types can help with our decisions in other places as well.

This story isn't so much of an "investment" in-terms of money, but rather an investment of time. Back in 2018, I was looking to contribute some of my work in-exchange for tokens/income, later I stopped doing this because a few projects I realized that were giving tokens in-exchange for work ended up being scams, but ironically the one project that I chose to stick with did not end up being a scam and was able to make it onto a pretty big exchange last month. I spent about 3-4 months working for a private messenger project, they paid me consistently, on-time, every week (sometimes in advance), and I ended up giving them a good amount of graphical material that they could use for marketing purposes and whatnot. To make a long story short, I would work quite hard for them and ended up accumulating a fairly large amount of tokens. I was somewhat skeptical, but they ended up getting listed and I was able to sell the stack for quite a fair amount. It was most definitely one of my best investments, and if I had some spare savings I would have definitely HODL'd but unfortunately was not able to. A lot of people would say it's not worth the time, but I learnt so much working with a crypto project that I could not even begin talking about the experiences and knowledge I've gained.

To me, it was the one of the most profitable investments I ever made. Short article about where I worked (https://telegra.ph/Security--Privacy-02-01).
