Digital Assets are Here to Stay Posted: 02 Dec 2018 03:40 AM PST https://xrpcommunity.blog/digital-assets-are-here-to-stay/
Digital Assets are here to stay! Find out about it and all the major news affecting XRP in my latest blog.
𝐑𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬: Fleetcor may purchase Western Union Business Payments; Marcus Treacher gives a great overview of how Ripple is solving cross-border payments; and an electrifying Ripple Drop episode from Ripple zooms in on the sharing economy use case.
𝐂𝐨𝐢𝐥 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬: Coil takes over where Ripple left off, and teams with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
𝐗𝐑𝐏 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬: You can 'roll your own' escrow using the XRP Tip Bot application; Two decentralized exchanges add support for XRP, along with one centralized exchange; 'Thinking Crypto' releases an Omni deep dive with Tom McLeod; and now you can buy beer with your zerps... in Serbia!
I hope you enjoy the read!

Introducing DAWDY: The Decentralized Version of AWDY! Posted: 02 Dec 2018 07:27 PM PST I posted earlier about the drama surrounding the website 'are we decentralized yet?'. If you aren't caught up on the drama, this dude freaked out and removed XRP after 2 talented devs (Matt Hamilton/Nick Bougalis) submitted pull-requests to update the XRP information to reflect accurate data: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ripple/comments/a2dhfl/jackson_palmer_removes_xrp_from_arewedecentralized/ I know a lot of people responded with that they didn't care but I still wanted to make a sister-site that reflected the accurate data. SO feel free to pass this site around, it didn't take me long at all to make, especially because the code is open source (he did tell us to make our own website: https://github.com/ummjackson/awdy/commit/72c161b79418e5f9d4eee3e67348f91acd5dd09c) Enjoy: https://dawdy.herokuapp.com/ [link] [comments] | ||

Xrptipbot for Wikipedia donations? Posted: 02 Dec 2018 08:00 PM PST Is this already possible? It would certainly also spread the word if lay-people saw Wikipedia was taking donations in Xrp. I'd also donate more, since I use their content a lot. And for some reason in my head, a decentralized payment service, meant for micro transactions for the average person, seems to fit well with an enterprise like Wikipedia, which is trying to boost knowledge availability to the average person.
