Will retail investors even care? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 08:10 AM PST I recently read about Apple Pay. You can use your I-Phone and pay within seconds. The thing is, we actually know that what happens is a payment, NOT a settlement of the value! (That would be the part of XRP/crypto in general) But the end consumer won't give a * about that. So the online money "crypto" is actually not a special thing for the end consumer. Why would they care about crypto if they have something like Apple Pay? The front-end says click the button to pay -> button pressed -> payment done! -> Wow! I know the main focus for Ripple is to get FIs and banks on board. But with XRP we have a "who comes first problem": Chicken or Egg? With little to no liquidity we can't kickstart the FIs and banks, so retail is kinda important actually. But back to the discussion: With things like Apple Pay, why should the average Joe care about Crypto "Online money" anymore? What are your thoughts? [link] [comments] |
