    1060 3GB's can't mine ETH anymore

Eth's Dag file is now 2.8gb and it looks like they can't mine ETH anymore. I know that this was the case with windows some months ago but today hive started to restart my rig multiple times because my 1060's were getting dag errors. It was working just fine until now. My 1070's and 4gb AMD cards can still mine it just fine. Is anyone else here in the same boat?

In terms of mining, what can I do with my Sapphire Vega 64 and where do I start?

Not very profitable but interesting: 2080 Ti can mine Eth at 58 Mh/s and Blake2S at 3.7 Gh/s concurrently at 180 watts

Thought I'd tinker with these algos for science and was very impressed; shame it doesn't translate to profit!

My 1080 Tis at 175 watts will do 48 MH/s on Eth and ~400-500 MH/s on Blake2S with Ethlargement Pill and Claymore Dual miner. Shame that Blake2S is useless for profitability since it's been ASIC mined for a while now -- an 8x dual mining boost with Turing is pretty impressive. Turing is also a beast at Lyra2REv2 as I posted before (130 MH/s vs ~65-70 MH/s for 1080 Ti), but equally disappointing since ASICs came for that just as Turing was released.

The changes between GDDR5 and GDDR6 are very similar to those between GDDR5 and GDDR5X -- would love to see what Turing can do with better timings (I'm sure someone out there has a private Ethlargement Pill for Turing) and whether it could still pull such impressive dual mining numbers at the same time.

ROI: 7 GPUS MINING AT 213MH/s, 1.3kW draw at the wall

    Posted: 19 Dec 2018 12:37 PM PST

Hey guys so I'm pretty new to mining, but done a little crypto trading but that's about it, I know some one selling this set up for $750USD

7 GPUs - mines around 213MH/s on Nanopool (on conservative clock settings) with around 1.3kW power draw at the wall.

    1x Asus ROG STRIX RX570 4Gb 2x Sapphire nitro+ RX570 4Gb 2x Sapphire nitro+ RX480 8Gb 2x Sapphire nitro+ RX480 4Gb

The rig has an older AMD CPU (I think 6 core), and a 120Gb SSD with ethOS installed (a linux distro specially built for mining ETH and other coins - supports dual mining so you can mine ZCash etc alongside ETH)

Power supplies: 1000W server rack PSU that I wired up and hand-soldered a bunch of headers to, which run into a power bar supplying most of the cards + risers. Also a 750W ATX PSU (Thermaltake, I bought this new late last year) that is running the mobo and a few of the cards

All this is enclosed in a case I designed + built - is a combination of laser-cut 6mm MDF (that I painted), and 3mm clear acrylic, designed to hold up to 8 cards as well as the power supplies and mobo etc.

I spent a lot of time mucking around with the clock settings of all the cards and it's now at a point where it mines at a good hash rate and is perfectly stable - just plug it in, turn it on, and it'll go. I've been mining on Nanopool - https://eth.nanopool.org/

Do you guys think this would be a good entry level purchase an give off a small ROI ?

(Apologise to admins if I have broken any rules, if so please let me know what to change) Cheers

Help reflashing a Gigabyte RX 570 4GB back to default VBIOS

    Posted: 19 Dec 2018 12:35 PM PST

Hi all, not sure if this is the place to post about it, but I recently picked up an RX 570 from a miner that had flashed a custom VBIOS onto it. I'm looking to flash it back to its stock BIOS so that I can use it as a normal non-mining card. Unfortunately, I have no idea which BIOS I am supposed to use for this card. The card I have uses Samsung VRAM which Gigabyte's support page doesn't really mention at all.

Here's the GPU-Z screenshot for this card: https://imgur.com/fMlTqu9

And here's the Gigabyte support page link for this card: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-RX570GAMING-4GD#support-dl-bios

I have Rev 1.0 so I'm assuming I need to use one of the last two BIOSes. Any insights would be very helpful.
