Can blocks of 0x00 weaken AES CBC with IV encryption? Posted: 14 Dec 2018 06:35 PM PST I'm toying with AES encryption and am padding the beginning of my cleartext to ensure my cleartext buffer is 16 byte aligned. My question is:
I know older, far weaker ciphers were weakened by known inputs at the beginning or end of the cleartext, but is AES immune to this, assuming a properly random key and IV is used? [link] [comments] |
