Announcing OpenSwap, a fork of Electron Cash featuring atomic swap functionality.

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 05:08 PM PST

For the last few months, I've been working on making an atomic swap tool based on Electron Cash. The software is designed to follow the model of a decentralized exchange, in the sense that it could be used by any capable liquidity provider to provide exchange services.

The Github code is here: https://github.com/markblundeberg/openswap

OpenSwap brings together a few concepts:

    • A virtual orderbook resides on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, thus providing a BCH-based DEX if the protocol would be widely used.
    • Negotiations are carried out using "BCHMessage" -- an on-chain messaging protocol that uses encrypted OP_RETURN payloads.
    • The trades themselves are trustless atomic swaps (using the hash lock method).
    • Atomic swap details (one-time private keys, secrets, etc.) are deterministically derived, making it possible to completely recover mid-swap using only the wallet seed.

There will be an initial beta version soon with a basic walkthrough of the process. Developers are encouraged to participate in our telegram group (see github page for link -- would link here but reddit bans telegram links).

The initial release features BCH and BTC, by integrating elements from the BTC Electrum into BCH Electron Cash. I'd like to thank Rajnikant Sharma for the heroic effort in making this multi-wallet support a reality!

Other Bitcoin compatible coins can be added later such as LTC, DASH, DOGE, and others. I welcome developers from these and other communities to help build the next generation software.

The software release should be coming soon, but I would like to get testers, advocates, and developers looking at it. Again, telegram link is available on the github page!

Bitcoin BCH - A Peer-To-Peer Electronic Cash System - Aiming To Become The First Global Currency - Imagine a World Without Middlemen, Corruption and Fiscal Abuse!

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 06:25 PM PST

Bitcoin BCH is aiming to become the first global currency and clearly the world would be far better off if the global economy were based on a sound peer-to-peer electronic cash system. Bitcoin BCH is a must-have vision to stamp-out middlemen, corruption and fiscal abuse.

Bitcoin BCH has proven that on-chain scaling as described in the whitepaper is the correct scaling path. Bitcoin BCH on-chain scaling already enjoys capacity beyond Paypal and has tested blocksizes that scale beyond visa on the Bitcoin BCH testnet and this study looks at Bitcoin BCH processing 50 TXs/Day for 10 Billion people!

I've been skooping up cheap BCH under $100 and just wanted to let you all know I vow to personally make an effort to keep the BCH chain alive and even become the lead dev of it if it so happens to become worth $0.01 and everyone has left

    Psssst...hey...kid. Real bitcoins, 97.5% off

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 07:19 PM PST

The only reason blockstream tokens are leading is because they still control most of the information news flows. We have the tech, and when the crypto users outside of r/btc are weaned off censorship we'll lead the markets once more.

Is there a 2019 roadmap for Bitcoin core?

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 05:38 PM PST

I posted this to /r/Bitcoin and it got downvoted to 0 and pretty much everyone who responded said something to the likes of "hur dur Bitcoin is #1 road map no need," which is obviously ridiculous.

I can't find a roadmap anywhere. Am I missing something?

Jihan isn't even the majority shareholder on Bitmain

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 09:34 PM PST

The attacks on Jihan are because he's a thought-leader.

Divide and Rule strategy has been employed by tyrants and secret societies for all of known history in The West.

    Don't believe the "rumors".

If someone has some ideas about Jihan or Bitmain but hasn't even read the IPO filings, they are stupid, lazy, or worse.

"Core shills are pathetic. They keep trolling other projects that their BTC lost ONLY 80% instead of 98%.. even when their entire BTC promise was storing value.. so now that it's down 80%, what's the point of BTC? Their narrative falls apart. It has failed as currency and as gold."

Best time to be in BCH

    Posted: 14 Dec 2018 08:10 AM PST

We all know that the shills, banksters and haters are going to throw everything they got at BCH because they don't want P2P Permissionless cash. Guess what PRICE DOESN'T MATTER. Because I'm not in this for the bag. I'm in this because I believe in p2p permissionless cash. I stopped paying attention to price a LONG TIME AGO. I care about adoption and building (and overall hash rate) I'm prepared for it to take ten years. I think that's one of the reasons they hate us so much. We actually believe in the technology. Also we've been attacked from all sides and we're still standing.

I'm bullish AF..... We have a clear pathway to scale, we survived cleaving off of the corrupt Blockstream cripplers, we fought off a bully in SV, we have all sorts of opp codes to build off of. We have all the tools for our success.

Yeah it's probably going to take 2-4 years IMO to get back the momentum that was stolen from us by the Blockstream vampires and then shake off the damage of the SV putsch. It has only made is stronger. Developers keep doing your thing. I'll keep mining and spreading the gospel.

When you try to lose weight they tell you to not weigh yourself everyday. The same is true for price. Trust the process we will win

All the haters and slavers trying to stop us you can eat a bag of dicks.
