In Quest for Digital Gold: Despite the rise and fall of various alt coins and fork considerations, 'time' works FOR bitcoin, not AGAINST it. Every day it doesn't disappear, it gets one step closer to a permanent status of digital gold.

The difficulty drop coming with the next block (about -15%) is the second biggest, bitcoin has ever seen. The biggest was 2011/10/31 (-18%), after which the price doubled within two months. 15 months later price found itself 20-folded.

My friends had no problem buying #bitcoin at $7K all the way to $20K. Most of them have panic sold at a loss and now won't dare to re-invest at $4K. Something tells me this cycle will repeat again at $40K to $80K per $BTC.

Running a Lightning Node on Mac and iOS apps.

    Posted: 03 Dec 2018 01:07 AM PST

Hey guys, now that we are 1 mill users i thought it was the perfect time for a non techie person like me to start running my own full node and lightning network on my mac. I looked for some choices and i think ill go with bitcoin core wallet and eclair ( im sure there is an easier way to do this like buying the Casa node but at the moment thats too expensive for me) but i want it also to have something for Iphone.

Can u guys advice me any lightning wallet for ios (if there's any) up and running like eclair wallet for android for example? So i can send/receive payment thru lightning.

Altho as far as im concerned with eclair wallet you can only send payments thru lightning not receive them(yet).

    Thanks in advanced.

Can someone Explain how upgrades to Bitcoin work

    Posted: 02 Dec 2018 10:57 PM PST

I'm just curious how upgrades are added to the bitcoin protocol. The Devs say hey we want to add Segwit to bitcoin but how does this get approved? Is there some mind of vote? What if I don't approve of this "upgrade". Just curious about the whole process of upgrades.
