    Swift cloning Ripple's source code

    Ripple has the technological advantage over Swift, and Swift has the client base and network advantage over Ripple.

    Since Ripple has open-sourced the codebase, Swift (or any other competitor), could simply copy the code, and start a new independent network with its own version of XRP on it. They could premine their own Swift coin, and distribute it to all of their clients for free in order to kick-start their cloned network.

    What advantage does Ripple have if their tech is open for all to copy?

    Edit: CaptInappropriate has answered the question - not all of it is open-sourced, in particular the xRapid/xCurrent/xVia is not, which is great to know, as I was getting a little worried...

    Coil: a list of monetized websites?

    I'm sorry if r/Ripple isn't the place to post about Coil. But r/Coil has only 755 subscribers.

    I have just added the script to an old blog I have and I think it's working. If someone could please take a look, it is a blog that reunited from 2009 to 2012 songs with whistlings in them: https://allwhistlingsongs.blogspot.com/

    And I thought if there is a real list with websites monetized with Coil. I say 'real' because in Coil.com we can find this list, but there are many websites there that don't show the warning "This page is Web-Monetized" in Coil Chrome plugin...

    Well, I have another question for creators: I know Coil it's in its very beginning, but does it pay a nice amount?

    BTC bleeding is good for XRP

    Guys, if XRP is going down because of BTC bleeding, it is very good for us. BTC has no use case, other than being base pair at exchanges, but that is already changing. People need to exit their manipulated BTC-positions sooner or later. Let's do it now.

    Consider this as the start of the true decoupling, which we need to have. Use this buying opportunity.

    Toast wallet question

    I recovered my 4 year old secret key into a Toast wallet. It contains both XRP and LTC, how do I send out the LTC as it won't accept an LTC address? It's been a long time :)
