Just want to say , if you are buidling something on ethereum.......... Posted: 21 Nov 2018 02:07 PM PST Think hard if you really need to a token to run the platform , Chances are you don't . If that is the case try your best to get conventional funding and use good-ol-ether itself for your tokenomics. The ICO hay days are over ... If you have an iota (I get the irony ) of passion for ethereum the Network , you know what to do . [link] [comments]

Smart contracts in real business: The future is here Posted: 21 Nov 2018 06:08 AM PST The global financial community recognizes blockchain as one of the most groundbreaking technologies that are set to rock the boat of the world economy. Enterprises in all industries attempt to reap benefits from this technology to reach their specific goals, and one of the key blockchain's advantages is smart contracts. What is a smart contract? To put it simply, smart contract is a piece of code that executes certain actions under certain conditions. For instance, when implemented in eCommerce, it can trigger a payment from the user's wallet as soon as ordered items are shipped and this fact is fixed in the blockchain. Smart contracts have three key unbeatable advantages:
Precium brings smart contracts to real lifePractice shows that smart contracts make a day-and-night difference in performance and efficiency of business operations. For this reason, tech-savvy countries like China, South Korea and Japan encourage ICO creation and adoption of smart contracts in various industries. In traditional business, smart contracts facilitate communication and perform many other functions. Precium is a good case in point: this project was established in South Korea in 2017. It is supported by major local and international partners, including Two AB, SBS, Naver, Swarovski, Kakao Talk, and Bit Asset. Precium platform offers a template of smart contract terms for users to create their own customized smart contracts and use them in peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions. Here's how it works. Any company can become a Precium user and exploit its smart contract templates. It allows for developing the proprietary smart contract that's tailored to specific business requirements. Smart contracts can serve for the whole gamut of tasks:
Precium provides its proprietary Onyx Chain where all information related to smart contracts is stored. How is data obtained? The project uses Oracle technology to import all off-chain information on the Onyx blockchain. Therefore, customers are free to exploit different platforms and applications to manage their business – they won't need to make any drastic changes in their current digital infrastructure. Smart contract is a versatile means of data and fund management – it automates business processes making them transparent and error-proof. Practice shows that any business can benefit from this technology: such projects as Precium make this utopian dream come true. [link] [comments]
Development of tool to monitor ERC20 wallet changes Posted: 21 Nov 2018 05:21 AM PST Hi, I would to get automatically notified whenever specific wallets of a specific token changes. I would like to keep a close eye on the changes in wallets and its rankings. I want to understand when big moves happen with the existing top wallets. For example; I want to track wallet #5 - #25 (the first 4 are exchanges, so dont care really) of a certain ERC20 token. If one of these wallets change with X%, send me an email. If the change is below X%, don't bother. I assume this should already exist and is fairly easy to program / develop. Any idea? Thanks for your help! [link] [comments]

What's the development vision for Ethereum? Posted: 21 Nov 2018 09:08 AM PST What's the development vision for Ethereum? What do people mean when they talk about Web 3.0? I'd like to understand the actual mechanisms of this working. Not the mechanisms of Ethereum, but the mechanisms of this "Web 3.0" people talk about. Are these just a new subset of API calls, but to the Ethereum Virtual Machine? What aspects of the current model will be decentralized? User authentication? Payment? Digital asset ownership? Is it going to be similar to how Oracle's cloud solutions prioritize operations on centralized servers? For payment, instead of dealing with Paypal's API, I just deal with EVM's API? Will a website being making its own contracts that it then routes requests to? Can anyone point me to a discussion of this? [link] [comments]
