In a war, nobody wins, but the blood of the victims are on the hands of the aggressor. Posted: 21 Nov 2018 08:47 AM PST I was prompted to write after reading how the hashwar has affected real lives such as this https://mishapelt.com/hash-war-and-alice-and-how-the-life-goes/ I cannot imagine the others who had their life savings in cryptocurrencies affected by the recent events, where CoinGeek/nChain threatened to burn everything down. Source: https://www.coinspeaker.com/hash-war-is-on-craig-wright-threatens-to-crash-bitcoin-price-down-to-1000/ How would you feel if someone threatens to kill you or burn down your house if you do not do as they say? What kind of people would do that? In a war, nobody wins, but the blood of the victims are on the hands of the aggressor. Unfortunately, the only side that seems to support the war and enjoy seeing people suffering (including their own BSV supporter in that article above), is Bitcoin SV. For this reason alone, I cannot with a clear conscience support Bitcoin SV at all. It is no longer about the issue of money, but a matter of principle. [link] [comments]

What are the exchanges where you can deposit BCHAB/BCHSV at this time? Posted: 21 Nov 2018 07:46 AM PST I'm looking for an exchange where you can deposit BCHAB or BCHSV now and sell it for another cryptocurrency. I checked a number of exchanges and found only 2 which have resumed their BCH deposits, OKEx and Gate.io. OKEx requires passport number, on Gate.io the volume is small. Are there any other exchanges? Bitcoin Cash SV’s ‘Blockchain Reorg’ Likely an Accidental Split, Not an Attack Posted: 20 Nov 2018 09:28 PM PST Bitcoin Cash "Satoshi's Vision" – otherwise called Bitcoin SV – suffered a block reorganization Monday by which transactions on two different blocks were overwritten. ELI5 - Bigger Blocks Is Always Good? Let's See The Experiment Data. Posted: 20 Nov 2018 11:47 PM PST There has been so much confusion about big blocks that I feel it might be good to explain things simply for the benefit of non-tech people. 1 block can fit many transactions, think of a block as a Bus and transactions as passengers. The bigger the block size (bus size/capacity), the more transactions (passengers) can fit in it. However, when calculating efficiency, one cannot take into account just the size of the bus. Efficiency is calculated by the most passengers you can transport within a given time. So 1 huge gigantic bus taking 1 hour to transport 100 passengers is actually less efficient than 5 smaller buses taking 1 hour to transport 300 passengers. And an analysis of data has proved that indeed, having a 64MB blocksize on Bitcoin SV is actually LESS efficient than on Bitcoin ABC because it takes so bloody long to propogate/validate the block. Therefore, the data analysis has back up the claims from the ABC camp that bigger blocks alone simply doesn't make things better; it actually caused more problems. Some sources below for anyone interested to read more. "The important take away is that block size is not the most pertinent scaling metric. What we care about is sustained throughput. This chart shows that despite the 38MB and 64MB blocks, the average throughput at the time was less 10 MB per ten minutes. The blocks were bigger, but they were spaced further apart and surrounded by smaller blocks. When we did the gigablock testing last year, we were able to produce and propagate a 1.3 GB block, but that was not a realistic measurement of sustained throughput. Instead, we could achieve approximately 22 MB sustained (with stock BU) and approximately 100 MB sustained with Andrew Stone's optimized/parallelized version (parts of which have now been ported to production BU)." Source: https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9yp024/visualizing_the_sustained_throughput_on_the_sv/ea32o4h/ "It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong. In that simple statement is the key to science." - Richard Feynman, Nobel Prize Winner. [link] [comments]
