Friendly Mod Reminder - Price prediction posts belong in the Daily Discussion and /r/XRP

    Posted: 21 Nov 2018 08:32 AM PST

    Hey guys,

The last week or so has been crazy for XRP, with the cryptocurrency market going through a bear run and XRP taking the #2 spot, but we do want to remind people that price predictions belong in the Daily Discussion, or in /r/XRP.

This applies to price discussions in any form: text posts, youTube videos, puzzles and so on.

There has been an influx of these types of posts, and we will be removing them.

    Thanks!

    Decoupling timeline...are we there yet?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2018 11:04 AM PST

XRP/BTC is +96.73% over the last 3 months, while BTC/USD is -33.89% in the same span, with ETH/USD at -53.46%.

    Take that out to 6 months and XRP/BTC is +24.6%, BTC/USD is -37.77%, and ETH/USD is -74.40%.

Why is everyone stressing about whether or not we're decoupling...aren't those numbers above proof alone? What is the true timeline everyone's looking for as vindication or proof - a year? 6 months? Next week? Is there a standard?

Or perhaps XRP's the standard. Maybe that's the moral of the story here.

November 30th EU TIPS going Live- Think the community needs some clarification.

    Posted: 21 Nov 2018 03:23 PM PST

Is there any credible information that states that ripple is indeed part of the EU TIPS that go live on November 30th?

I saw the slideshow that is on Twitter but I couldn't find any information that directly links it with ripple. In that slideshow, it does include key words like settlement, liquidity etc but have not seen anything that directly links November 30th with Ripple. And just to be clear Im not spreading FUD, just wanted to clarify on what is actually happening.

    Thank you XRP Community.

How do you feel about the "silence" from the Ripple team?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2018 09:04 AM PST

Let me start this off by saying that I'm a full on supporter for Ripple and XRP and don't want to cause any harm or unrest by this post.

I remember at all time high times that social media communication, presence and interaction with the community were really well. u/sjoelkatz interacted a lot with people on Reddit and Brad Garlinghouse was really active on Twitter. I really appreciated it a lot.

I know that David Schwartz is still very much active on Twitter, which I also appreciate, but I miss all this information, plans and future outlooks we got concerning Ripple and XRP.

Nowadays it feels like we're getting all our information from journalists making it sensationalistic and distorting Ripple's comments, which are already vague to the point of not having even a single bit of information you could conclude from.

I, for one, don't know how to interpret this kind of "silence" and would very much appreciate your comments and a discussion on this topic.

Tl;dr: How do you feel about this drop of communication in comparison to the all time high of XRP?

Edit: I'm sorry for making this thread as there seems to be absolutely no demand for this, I'll leave it up for other people to not post something similar, but you can stop with the PMs now please.

Does anyone know if there's documentation for the ripple-lib javascript library?

I've been trying to use the library for developing a financial software, but there's no documentation to be found. There is documentation for the web api however.
