Posted: 20 Sep 2018 08:05 PM PDT Just felt like posting this cause I'm pissed...I sold off a 1080ti in early spring when prices were thru the roof for $939...then prices dropped a good bit in early March. Two weeks after the auction, assclown says his PayPal account was hacked and he had no idea what this video card thing even was - whatever dude...it was delivered to your house and you got cold feet after the value dropped. Paypal finds in my favor and releases the money on April 18th. In August he freaking sends me the card back to my house...it shows up one day...at this point it's barely worth $600...I call eBay and am like wth is going on? Dude sends me a card back four months after the auction - am I under any obligation for ANYTHING now? They said heck no...I talked to three separate reps. So I end up reselling it for around $600 before fees. A few weeks ago, Paypal freezes $939 from my account saying there's a dispute that the guy didn't get his money back...WTF? How the hell can a buyer send back something whenever he feels like it? Just got off the phone with paypal...they said it wasn't us - it was his credit card company that initiated it. Even though you had seller protection and we released funds in April, that doesn't prevent him from going thru his credit card. I said that's f'd up - the auction ended in March...how the hell can you pull the funds out of my account like that...I didn't do anything wrong and what's to prevent any buyer from doing that to anyone? They agreed that I didn't do anything wrong but were no help...said only recourse was to go to small claims court and gave me the address for PayPal legal...so be careful if you start unloading your rigs. I sold over 15k worth of cards last year and have never had an issue with a single auction for anything until this jackass. [link] [comments]

Curious how much tweaking you guys do for max hash rate Posted: 21 Sep 2018 05:48 AM PDT I mined for about 4 months, and tweaked my cards continually until I found optimal setups for max hash and minimum power draw. Flashed bios/overclock mem/undervolt/overclock core at times, etc. I was talking to a fellow miner recently, and he knew how to flash bios but was not all that familiar with further tweaking. I was happy to tell him what I knew about tweaking, but I started to wonder how many other guys in our little GPU mining community are mining without max tweaked settings, or even stock cards. How much tweaking do most of you do? [link] [comments]

How to fix profit unit error without disabling that specific coin? Posted: 20 Sep 2018 03:44 PM PDT What I found common is that new coins tend to be labeled a digit wrong to get it showing "10 times more profit than others" in zpool/ miningpoolhub/ Ahashpool. I don't know why, but this might be a trick to fool enough amount of miner to start mining that new coin. Such error exist happened most of profit switching miner like MultiPoolMiner/ awesomeminer/ etc... Is there a way to manually adjust the profit calculator? [link] [comments] |
