Why Ripple is primed to revolutionize banking as we know it - BlockHaven

Don't worry about the recent price decline. If the market is suffering, XRP won't be any exception. We really believe in Ripple for the longer term. Here is our latest article:

I know most of us don't care about Weiss ratings but this tweet is very interesting...

"[... ] I now use XRP myself to move money between exchanges. No wait for confirmations. Really fast. [...] #XRPthestandard [... ]"

Creepy! If Weiss does have a meaning at all, this change in perspective will not be bad for XRP.

    XRP vs the World

    Posted: 09 Aug 2018 09:17 AM PDT

So I have been in this crypto space for over a year, and there's no way around it: everyone seems to hate XRP. "It's not decentralized!" "The total supply will be dumped by Ripple any minute now!" "It's not secure!" I have lately regained love for XRP when I got tipped with the XRPtipbot, which lead me to discover the great things that this community is making. Still, how can I spread the word and fight the FUD everyone is spreading? Is there an article or something I can share? Or, even better, can anyone give me a good explanation of how XRP works and how does it gain value over time? Thanks!

    Xrp utilization with bank charbacks

    Posted: 09 Aug 2018 10:33 AM PDT

Having a problem with a store that has me getting my bank involved for a type of refund. The money would take a couple days to be refunded but was wondering if ripple technology would make it so I would get my money instantly. I understand that with xrapid it makes it so banks could move a lot of money fast and for cheap (short version) but was wondering if situations like these would apply to that as well. Thanks and happy hodling!

I am officially all in on XRP

    Posted: 08 Aug 2018 10:19 PM PDT

I bought some last Oct/November for around 0.70 and with LTC and a few others I am invested in getting stagnant, I am just getting bored. Seeing the drop to 0.32 actually made me excited and I dumped every other crypto I have on binance in exchange for XRP. Plus, it will be much easier to maintain one crypto. I don't have a whole lot invested so it makes sense to me and here's hoping to becoming a little richer!

Zerp guys, I have some equity on etoro (don't hate me) and I'm wondering if it's worth me cashing all out on there and putting that onto my new wireX card all in on xrp. What do you think?

XRP may eventually become the standard for large financial firms but...

    Posted: 09 Aug 2018 02:28 PM PDT

This doesn't mean its "successful" value will be high.

It may achieve a stable value of say $0.75 or so, and that will be where it's valued once recognised as a useful currency for financial firms to exchange money. It may also be $0.05

The value we saw last year was pure speculation during hype. For Ripple's very specific use case for XRP, and given that there will eventually be 100Bn in circulation, why on earth would it ever hit anywhere near $100 as some predict?

If it was adopted as a digital currency used for purchasing ANYTHING, then yes it could well achieve a high value. But this isn't really what Ripple are pushing for, and every day we focus our hopes primarily on xRapid.

To put it bluntly, most of the hope relies on another hype wave. Even if XRP is successfully adopted for its use case, there's no reason it would be worth more than $1 (it's far less useful than a dollar in that case, for a start).
