Invested $15,000 in crypto ... Posted: 12 Aug 2018 06:06 PM PDT My first purchase was LTC at $300 in dec 2017. Luckily i only bought 2 coins. So after some research i made my second purchase and got bitcoin cash at $2,000 this seemed like a no brainer . I saw it was $4,000 + so i figured at $2000 it was a bargain. I dropped $5,000... The rest i spent on neo, icon and elastos. I spent around $8,000 -$9,000 in these projects. Dollar cost for my icx, neo and elastos are Icx $2.50 Neo $70 ela $25 Im not as bad as the dude who took out the loan but i basically took my life savings in crypto . Fuck it im happy and dont need my coins to go to all time high to get my money back. I been dollar cost averaging and buying the dip.....I did research and if all my coins go to all time high , i would have about $100k investment lol the likely of that happening is uncertain but fuck it, i took a risk and im hopeful. The good thing is i have a regular job so i am not hurting for money or need my coins to moon to pay bills... if it moons sweeet it not , at least i gave this a shot :) Cheers and thanks for listening Much Love <3 [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Aug 2018 08:51 PM PDT So, figured I'd tell my story. I hear bitcoin hit 3k in March of last year, I thought to myself 'how can I get in this?' I didn't want to spend any money. So I did some research, saw NEO had a novel consensus algorithm, someone asked if it had a ledger app. So I did some research, made a ledger app for neo. Then wanchain. Then nano. Then bananos. Next eos. (Roosmaa ended up doing most of the nano/banano app, great guy, faster than I am) Did it for tips or for investment from the dev team. I am up 100% on my investments because I did not see it as a place for money, more a place to do work to improve the product. So if you look at this as a place to dump your life savings, you will probably be down in this bear market. If you instead look at this as a place to work hard and look for opportunities to improve the products that are on the market, you will be up 100%. I then got involved in the crisis in Venezuela, so I'm up 100% but also reinvesting some of that in charity work. Win/win in my case. I could say more about the crisis and how it's a golden opportunity to use payment tokens to invest in real-world projects with full transparency as to how they spend their money but I don't want to shill anything and get downvoted. This is NOT a financial advice (Youtube crytpo "Experts"). No, it is a financial Advice! Posted: 13 Aug 2018 12:40 AM PDT Most youtube videos start with a phase along the line of "This is NOT a financial advice ... blah blah ... do your own research .... ", then they give their analysis about the tech, adoption, charts, investing tips, price speculation ... etc What do you think, it is a financial Advice, is it NOT? why or why not? The problem is, those youtubers are well prepared, good at explaining and pushing their ideas, very convincing for new crypto investors ... then some beginners get motivated and they invest their life savings and start to get burned. You can say they learned their lesson, but the pain is greater than the lesson, very expensive lesson. [link] [comments]
