    Hi guys, i just wanna show u some google play(i dont know if its for apple yet) but i goubd some apps called "ethereum free spinner" and "litecoin free spinner" .     How would you describe mining, in general, to someone who knows nothing about cryptocurrency?

    Would you describe mining as simply computations performed by a specialized computer? How would you make it sound fashionable, or cool, or simplify it? Being that other products/services can be mined or "hashed", how would you succinctly describe the mining process or a mining computer to a Jane America?

    PCIE 1x3 splitter: do you need to power it?

    Hi folks,

    as per title - the splitter has both sata and molex power inputs. Is this necessary? I'm of course powering the risers using molex, and powering the 1080ti directly from psu.

    Power drag on a 1070 ti FE

    My gaming PC/ mining rig hybrid has a 850w Gold Corsair PSU and when running x16r it's pulling around 450-500w with PL on my two cards at 80%. Would I be able to cram in a 1070ti running at around this power draw or slightly less without any problems? What wattage are you guys looking at with the same/different algos on your cards and would it be safe to add another without damage to the PSU?

    Asus prime z270-a problem

    So I spend about 5 hours today trying to figure this out. Result is unsuccessful. The problem is the first pci-e x16 slot does not recognize a gpu when plug into this slot via riser. Yes, I swap risers. Yes, I tried to change the x16 slot to gen2 and gen1. Yes, I tried different card in this slot. I finally tried plug in the card directly into the slot, and it worked.

    • Has anyone run into the same issue? If so, is there a solution to fix this?

    • I finally gave up and just use the other slots. So now I have one useless slot that would work if a card is plugged directly into it.

    I got "stuck" with extra 1060 6gb card. I have few options:

    1. I can just sell it
    2. I can plug it to my home linux based PC and just mine with it (while monitor is connected to the on board GPU
    3. I can plug it into the PC and and connect 2 monitors to it and mine with it. My PC usage is mostly browsing the web with some video streaming.

    Question is what will happen if I go with option 3, Would I crash my PC every time I try to put some extra load on my GPU (video streaming for example) or the hash will go down?

    And what happens if you try to play some game while mining?

    Wifi for gpu farm?

    Is wifi bad for a gpu farm?

    I've gotten up to 10 rigs. The amount of ethernet cable running around is getting to be annoying. I was thinking of switching over to full wifi. Is this a bad idea?
