Posted: 05 May 2018 06:56 PM PDT Just browsing some security reports and spotted this. I knew it would happen eventually. More than likely, China found an exploit for geth clients. This is speculation, I'm not here to lower the value of ETH. Just hope everyone remembers to fuzz their software. https://401trg.pw/burning-umbrella/ "post-compromise actions have become more efficient and automated. Internal reconnaissance is performed by scanning the internal network for open ports 80, 139, 445, 6379, 8080, 10022, and 30304. The choice of ports by the attacker indicates a strong interest in internal web and file storage services. An interesting addition is the use of 30304, which is the peer discovery port for Ethereum clients." [link] [comments]
Dai acceptance for online retail shop? Posted: 05 May 2018 08:14 AM PDT Is there an easy way to accept Dai as a form of payment for a shopify store? I just integrated Coinbase Commerce, looking into Coin Payments as well but it's not easy. Really excited about stablecoins for peer-to-peer commerce! [link] [comments]

Where can I programmatically retrieve value data? Posted: 05 May 2018 05:51 PM PDT I am building a dapp that charges a transaction fee. That transaction fee needs to be constant in U.S. dollars. So, I need to be able to programmatically fetch the ethereum-to-dollars exchange rate and use that value to float the amount of ethereum the contract requires. How are people typically solving this problem? Is there an oracle or a set of oracles that are popular for solving for this? [link] [comments]
