    Hi Ethereum community!

    My name is James Duffy (PROOF) and I'm the Co-Founder of Loom Network.

    We're building a layer 2 solution to help Ethereum scale. Our developer SDK will be released next month, and allows DApps to be built on highly scalable DPoS sidechains, secured by Plasma Cash on mainnet. This enables a new class of DApps that require a high very throughput (like online games), while still providing the security guarantees of Ethereum for tokenized assets.

    In short, you can think of Loom Network as bringing EOS-like functionality to Ethereum.

    We're also the makers of CryptoZombies.io — a fun, interactive "code school" where you learn to build Ethereum DApps by making your own zombie game. We are super proud to have helped almost 200,000 developers learn Ethereum development using CryptoZombies to date.

    If you've never heard of Loom before, this post might be helpful.

    Watching this talk on Edcon for the first time today, the arguments put forward by Preethi Kasireddy had me surprised by their lack of content and by being based solely on political rhetoric with few to none actual arguments. If this person is in any way profiting from recovering the funds I'd appreciate that she disclose her personal interests in this EIP.

    I'd be very interested if she would also be so kind to disclose who she considers the we in 'some people do come into this believing it's an immutable ledger and we're changing that perception'.

    I think blockchains will be attacked politically, and I appreciate how well executed this attack is (it is, although maybe utterly well intentioned, nevertheless an attack on the immutability and definition of the blockchain with political means). Immutability guarantees that the ledger of balances, that is held as a source of truth by many people operating on it, cannot not be attacked by politicians and thus overcome the sway of politics.

    I have had great respect for the proposals and analysis by Alex van der Sande and I have great respect for Parity's responses on this issue and I truly hope that necessity will eventually provide us with solution that can bring together all parties involved. We are not in a hurry: the funds are safely inaccessible and we all have fate in this ecosystem becoming more valuable as time passes.

    I have been in the ethereum community for a while now and recently decided to start researching projects. I've been really interested in how blockchain can be connected to a company's shipping and logistics. I've done a a fair amount of research but still can't seem to understand how a company would put their package on the blockchain but then also keep the data secure.

    first of all im crypto NOOB. however cant seem to get ethereum wallet to work. it says: ethereum node needs to sync, please wait. looking for peers...

    been like this for 2 days now. what should i do ?

    suggestions that DID NOT WORK: firewall is DISABLED. tried running as ADMIN. deleted and redownloaded. deleted roaming data.

    EDIT: tried on my laptop manjaro kde (linux) worked first try. weird. winshit
