    What's the point of cryptocurrency?

    Posted: 27 May 2018 01:39 AM PDT

Ok forget about price and candles for a second, let's pretend my name's Debbie and I'm a single mother of three kids, living in the US Midwest. I'm reasonably educated, like The Cranberries and often take photos of me and my best friend with fake rabbit ears and whiskers.

Let's pretend you're my neighbour, Todd. You're young, work in IT, cycle to work and you're a crypto evangelist. We're at a bbq and you corner me.

Within thirty seconds you start talking about Bitcoin and the coming financial revolution - I turn to you and say "Todd, honey, why would I pay with bitcoins when my bank card is accepted everywhere? I just want to pay for my stuff and go."

How do you convince me to start using crypto?

    Posted: 27 May 2018 03:15 AM PDT

So what are the payment terms, $0.002 per shill post? Sounds great get me in, can't wait to shill EOS and earn money by doing so. And what do I have to do? Pretend EOS is the second coming, that will solve all problems, that eventually all crypto will be swapped in for EOS, etcetc yeah? Sounds easy, get me involved.

Has anyone done research to see which accounts with large amounts are being withdrawn before major drops?

    Posted: 26 May 2018 03:12 PM PDT

Seems it would be something that can be tracked on block explorers.... To see which dates investors with large sums of money are moving money to and from exchanges right before major corrections or bull runs. I have no idea where to start researching this but wouod like to learn because it may give us heads up before and after major moves in the markets.

I'm talking big money.... Tens of millions of dollars I'm trying to follow the money because they control the markets for the most part. They never lose!!! They also would rather their money not be on exchanges. Maybe some kind of pattern that can be found. I assume a lot of them would withdraw to personal accounts or to Coinbase to real USD also go from one exchange to another that allows them to short the market. Like going from binance to bitfinex.

    Boy HODLing his bags

Got an email from Poloniex: They've implemented forced KYC and limited accounts to $2000 withdrawals if "legacy", and $0 if not (I made my account in August 2017 so not legacy). Threatening "restrictions" if KYC isn't handed over in 7 days but I'm already locked out...

    Posted: 26 May 2018 05:10 PM PDT

KYC is "know your customer" or "give us every scrap of personal information and scan in your fucking passport so we can do ambiguous stuff and maybe steal your identity" for those not in the know (yeah whatever, not many of you don't know this, fine).

Fucking bullshit, I can't even click on my withdrawals to see how what coins I have on the exchange to see if it's even worth going through the stupid process.

I listened to the community and withdrew my main holdings from all exchanges but left 0.5LTC on Poloniex, and I think there might also be ~100XRP left on there.

Just weighing up if it's even worth bothering with giving my details to these idiots so I can get at those coins.

Don't forget: Any exchange can spring this shit at any time and fuck you over. Take your coins off the exchanges

    I've copied the email below:

    Dear [EpicFishFingers]

We're emailing you because you have a legacy account with Poloniex, and you need to finish verifying your account. As part of account verification, we will need you to verify your identity. Please visit your profile page and follow the instructions there to complete verification.

During this process, you'll be asked to provide a verification photo of yourself as well as a photo of a valid government-issued ID card or passport. When taking your verification photo, please follow these guidelines.

We appreciate your cooperation in this process. If we cannot finish verifying your account, you will not be able to use Poloniex moving forward, so please take action on this as soon as possible. Once we receive and verify your information, full account functionality will be restored, and your daily withdrawal limits will be increased to $25k USD equivalent.

You'll have 7 days from the date this email was sent to verify your account information. After 7 days, restrictions will be placed on your account.

As a registered money services business, Poloniex is committed to compliance with all applicable law requiring identification and verification of its customers. If you have any questions about these or any other Poloniex terms, feel free to take a look at our terms of service and privacy policy. You can also submit a question to our support team by going to the Poloniex support portal.

Do you think the big boys will go first and bleed the little ones?

Or do you think the market will rise together?

Have been thinking of going all in on the big ones. Right now I am all in on alts.
