Binance's "Dust to BNB" is finally up! No more coins stuck on the exchange. Posted: 24 Apr 2018 06:15 AM PDT A feature that has been requested a lot of times from Binance: the option to convert the dust (amounts of coins you couldn't trade, like 0.995 ICN) to BNB, the exchange's currency, is finally available. Here is a screenshot of the feature: http://puu.sh/A9Cqu/e9444780a9.png It is available directly in the "Balances" page of your accounts. Tested it on my personal account, and it worked like a charm! Feels good to see all those balances to 0 finally. [link] [comments]

COSS will be implementing FIAT deposits before the end of month Posted: 24 Apr 2018 06:05 PM PDT Just a quick reminder that COSS will do a huge service to the crypto community in adding FIAT. This is to be expected in the next 6 days. Minimum deposit will be $1000 at the moment; this amount will be decreased in the future tho. If you guys are looking for an alternative to Coinbase/Gdax or the top exchanges out there, COSS has the advantage of having many altcoins like VEN, REQ, BCH, KIN, OMG and many others. So there will be no need to deposit fiat in one exchange to buy ETH-BTC and make a withdrawal request to an other exchange to be able to trade alts. This could be done in the same exchange without many hassles. One good thing to take in mind is that COSS holders will be receiving 50% Fee split allocation. So this means that the fees will be share between the exchange and the coss token holders. Great way to accumulate the most traded coins. Right now volume is low, but I can see it increasing steadily in the next month once FIAT is implemented. It may sound like a shill post and probably it is but I thought that more people should be aware of this nice and new alternative to regular exchanges. [link] [comments]

Cheat-sheet for owning your own keys for the top 30 alt-coins - get 'em off the exchanges! Posted: 24 Apr 2018 05:19 PM PDT Here is the main info as an image (updated v1.1 beta) and in Spreadsheet format (for easy copying of links) - latest v1.1 BetaGOAL:Quickly and securely own your private keys in long term cold (offline) storage for the top 30 altcoins listed at coinmarketcap.com (instead of storing them on the exchanges), and extract each key/address string to store in your OWN way, rather than in numerous disparate wallets which each operate differently and may expect you to store and/or remember secondary files/passwords etc. A picture is worth a thousand words: https://i.imgur.com/8xiVMww.png Background:I've invested in so many altcoins now that I've kinda lost count, and it's the easiest thing in the world to keep them on the exchanges, especially if your time is limited. But as we've seen with Mount Gox and more recently BitGrail, exchanges can fail and lose your funds. It turns out hardware wallets and multi-coin wallet apps don't support many of the major crypto-currencies (for example, the Ledger Nano S only supports 12 out of 30, and Coinomi only 11/30), and are by no means guaranteed secure either. For me personally, I didn't want all my coins strewn across numerous apps and wallets - I'd rather have them all in one place. Instructions:After following the instructions for any coin, you can expect to create something similar, a giant list of your favourite coins, each with their own address and private key, stored in the way YOU want (I recommend storing the text file offline on at least two offline storage mediums (such as an airgapped computer or pen drive), and preferably encrypting it using a strong passphrase that you either write down on paper, and/or you memorize daily for at least a week (and once or twice a week for a few months thereafter). You may wish to use something like Keepass or 7zip for the encryption process. Each coin has "Easy" and "Secure" instructions. There's no such thing as 100% secure, and you may wish to improvise further by setting up a Linux computer from scratch, but the "Secure" instructions should suffice for most people in most situations, especially if it means the alternative is not doing anything at all due to lack of time. As a further precaution, if you do send funds to such addresses, you may wish to only send a tiny amount first, and/or play around with a 'test' key/address (sending back and forth from/to an exchange) to see if everything works as expected. For most links in the instructions, I have given REPUTABLE sources (shown in black below the links). These are usually the official sites, or sites that are endorsed by the applicable subreddit's moderator/spokesperson. Exceptions include very well known sites such as MyEtherWallet.com, WalletGenerator.net or apps/Javascript pages that are only required to confirm that an address corresponds with a given key created by a separate program from a reputable source (all done air-gapped for obvious reasons). NB: Whenever any instruction says "offline", you should interpret that as: "Offline, on an air-gapped computer (such as an old unused laptop) which never sees an online connection", especially if you're following the Secure instructions rather than Easy ones. FINALLY HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS:
A LOT of hard work has gone into this. If you find this useful, feel free to donate at the current crypto locations (if you'd prefer to donate with another coin, just PM me, and I'll create one with my own instructions!):

Privacy coins and why I think ZEN has long-term potential Posted: 24 Apr 2018 05:30 PM PDT With all the talk of taxation and people suggesting the use of privacy coins as a means to keep their holdings on the low, I did a bit of research into a few. There's obviously the few pack leaders. ZEC, DASH & XMR. I have a thing for lower MC caps coins though, due to the growth potential. I decided to look past the top 100, and here's what I found. In short, ZenCash is effectively a censorship proof platform. Instead of XMR and DASH, ZEN isn't just focusing on transaction privacy, they're also developing secure publishing and domain fronting. I had to do a bit of research on what domain fronting really was, but in short, it hides the true endpoint of a connection, allowing users to connect to a blocked website, despite making it look like they're visiting a different website altogether. ZEN already has incorporated secure messaging into their platform. I think this is going to be pretty big. Although it's currently not on the same level as the bigger two, ZEN fills a rather large niche for users in totalitarian states. Think of China, where users currently can't visit some websites without using a VPN. Using the ZEN platform, they'd be able to circumvent the great firewall completely. As the platform currently supports secure messaging, and ZenPub is in development, I think that ZEN will be a good place to help whistleblowers, as files can be uploaded p2p. This isn't much of a concern for most of us, but once again, I believe that these features will push ZEN adoption in places like China, Thailand, Cuba and others. My favorite part of Crypto is running nodes, as I get to help maintain the network of certain projects. Even better is when I get rewarded to do so (I'm a sucker for passive income lol). Currently per node, the ZEN reward is around 80 cents per day. This is much more than I'm currently earning with DASH. Hopefully this inspires you to check out ZEN, or even just become more aware of how important privacy coins are going to be for people outside the western world. If you prefer a visual resource, here's a handy comparison image. [link] [comments]
Fujitsu showcases IOTA cryptocurrency as new automation standard Posted: 24 Apr 2018 11:43 AM PDT
Edit thanks to /u/RandomJoe7 Extremely positive news for IOTA. Here is a summary of their aim:
News Article: https://www.finder.com.au/fujitsu-showcases-iota-cryptocurrency-as-new-automation-standard IOTA to me is going to become the most exciting currency to be involved with and I recommend that you get involved early. If you do not know how to buy, check out the link below (1) (not my site). Their own official website(2) has a roadmap for development and the next thing out is the IOTA ecosystem(3). They are also super close to releasing their all singing bells and whistles Trinity Wallet(4). Then the secreted HUB and Q will be released which is apparently going to be the biggest thing in crypto ever. There are all my views. I am extremely interested to know yours. What are your views on IOTA Guys? Do you think their hype over Q and Hub are warranted or just pump techniques? Discuss. Referenced Links Links: *Disclaimer: Yes I hold IOTA [link] [comments]
MyEtherWallet has been hacked/breached Posted: 24 Apr 2018 06:35 AM PDT MEW has just made more official statement. and thus can find that this current situation is "fixed." But please ! do make caution at all times. If you want to learn more about the technical side of this, click here
They have also said that everything is fine
Original Post: Official Statement from MEW: https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/988787116015415296
Answering some common questions. Hardware Wallets should be fine. Use caution for now and DO NOT LOGIN. Please read the comment here, which is very helpfulThere is a couple reports on the MEW sub regarding this: https://np.reddit.com/r/MyEtherWallet/comments/8ek0jj/think_i_got_scammedphishedhacked/ MyEtherWallet has been hacked, it looks like a security SSL mismatch which is redirecting you to a different domain. Right now it appears that people are being affected via LOGIN only. Do not login, and only view your balances via Etherscan or another explorer. If you need to send and move your funds, use another wallet, like Metamask, for now, or use MEW offline.. This post will be updated if more developments are found. Edit: A comment on the MEW sub says that it's an issue with Google DNS. Personally I did not receive a cert warning. I would still wait for announcement. The hacker's address is still getting ETH. Edit: here are some more information from r/EthTrader. It provides more links if you want to look into greater detail. Edit: Thank you everyone for the clarification. It's a spoof of OpenDNS and not MEW. But the above info still does apply. [link] [comments]

Decentralised Machine Learning (DML) an unknown winner? Posted: 25 Apr 2018 12:44 AM PDT I've been reading up on DML lately and started researching it a lot more extensively, and thus far I'm really liking what I'm seeing. It seems to be flying completely under the radar, but makes sense seeing how the ICO has just ended. "DML is a blockchain-based decentralized machine learning protocol, having already released the DML Protocol Gen 0 (DML Algo Marketplace) Prototype in February 2018. The DML infrastructure involves utilizing private data from devices while keeping private individual data protected." I'm bullish on this for multiple reasons:
Am I missing something here or is this a sure winner? If the market keeps performing like it does I don't see this not mooning. Not to mention that this looks like a great long term play as well. Thoughts? [link] [comments]

Where is the 300M$ Hotel ICO that Kevin O'Leary from SharkTank announced 5 weeks ago? Posted: 24 Apr 2018 10:25 PM PDT He announced a bit ago that a New York hotel will run an ICO seeking 300.000.000$. This will be the first SEC approved ICO as they have a hotel as an asset behind. Everybody waiting, but can't find any informations. Did i miss out? [link] [comments]
