Questions about XRP? This might be your next place to be!

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 07:45 AM PST

So I put my account into the xrp richlist index, and it seems XRP has a very strange distribution of wealth. It seems ~99% of XRP is in the top 2% of accounts.

How much XRP would banks need, and will there be enough demand to push the price up?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 02:19 PM PST

Hopefully I'm missing something fundamental here... But with 1500TPS, and 31.5m seconds in a year, XRP could theoretically handle 47b transactions per year. Assuming a total global transfer market of around $2.7quadrillion each year, $2.7q of it could be handled with only around $57k if the transfers were as efficient as possible... So how much XRP will banks actually need, and how much demand will that drive for XRP?

Somebody explain to me why this wouldnt turn the banks away from XRP

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 11:34 AM PST

If 1.1 million accounts hold 46 billion XRP already then why would the banks want to convert the trillions of dollars to XRP from there nostros accounts when potentially most of the accounts holding XRP today are waiting to cash out when XRP gets to lets say 50-200 dollars? Wouldnt that take away way too much of the money from the banks and put it into the hands of the investors making the banks much poorer? This doesnt seem to be saving the banks money. Someone explain this one to me. Unless XRP becomes much more exchangable as a payment method and therefore XRP profits dont have to be converted back to fiat then I dont understand how XRP (XRapid) will be presentable to the Banks as a way of saving money. Am I missing something here?

    BitCoin Shake

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 06:22 PM PST

Bitcoin whales are shaking the Bitcoin Price up and down and causing Bitcoin to be the main Crypto. Just look at the dominance Bitcoin has lost over the last year 80% down to what 34%. Then The regulation dip of 2018 and Xrp and Eth Knocking on the door. Bitcoin needs to gain its market back for it crypto and itself. XRP and every other Crypto are along for the ride until One is not going to be ignored any longer. Just wait and watch Bitcoin Slowly gain back its market dominance when it does what other crypto's slowly raise until the next fork or whatever. You watch crypto's long enough and the shit just repeats like history.

Thoughts on what Joel Katz says here ?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 10:15 AM PST

Seems like Joel Katz has a concern with btc liquidity over Xrp.

What are you thoughts on this ?

Question about if Coinbase added Xrp(not about price)

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 05:57 PM PST

Brother and I both into xrp and had a discussion, neither one of us are tech savy tho.

If you wanted to buy btc would it be cheaper to buy btc at coinbase/gdax and pay the mining fee or to buy xrp on coinbase/gdax, send it to binance, and trade it for btc?

Ripple confirmed transaction yet vendor claims only partial received

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 02:29 PM PST

Hello all, I've come to like Ripple and recently Attitude Seedbank started taking Cryptos for payment. I sent my payment for an order and it wasn't able to be auto-confirmed by Attitude's payment system. The blockchain says that it was received and then transferred into an account with about 10M Ripple (Assuming it's an exchange). Attitude claims they only received some of the ripple but that can't be possible. Could they be ripping me off? If so, is there any recourse? I made sure to attach my order number to the transaction.

    Estate Planning

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 01:58 PM PST

Its kind of morbid to think about but how are crypto portfolios being identified and moved to the estates of individuals when they pass away? Any thoughts on how this could potentially impact available supply long term? Right now if an individual passes away there are ways for their heirs to find assets held at different banks and financial institutions and an established process for how those individuals claim those assets. If someone puts 100,000 XRP on a nano ledger and tosses it in their safe without any directions for how their heirs can access it, those XRP are lost forever correct? It may seem insignificant right now but 50 years from now who knows how that could impact supply whether it be XRP or another crypto. Has anybody done any estate planning for their crypto portfolio and come up with an easy/effective way to transfer it to their heirs?

    Fighting the FUD over ripple

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 01:35 PM PST

I often see ripple/xrp appear in the cryptocurrency subreddit and then the inevitable FUD over centralisation/no banks will use xrp/blah blah blah.

I think we need to 1) stand up for our coin and communicate this ignorance/FUD to the general crypto scene.

Does anybody have a website where the 5 commonly asked questions can be answered by simply providing a url?

P.s it would be nice to see some of you guys defend xrp when it comes up on there. I'm currently in a debate about centralisation

Where to store Ripple in the Case of XRP launch on Coinbase?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 01:10 AM PST

I'm pretty much all in on XRP when it comes to crypto. I have my ripple on an exchange because quite simply I've heard too many stories on here of people losing their xrp from fraudulent ledgers so currently am happy to keep it on exchange. My question is if Ripple does go to Coinbase does the community recommend sending your XRP to coinbase instead and hodl it there rather than on an exchange?

XRP/BTC pair... someone gimme something positive!

    Posted: 03 Mar 2018 11:21 AM PST

    Wise man once said:

Market will stay irrational longer than you can stay liquid... I'm feeling that!

XRP is superior tech by a country mile. I know this. The market must reflect this in the long run... but god damn it BTC doesn't know how or when to die (only needs to comparatively to XRP. I don't want the earth!). Sadly I feel my hands becoming weaker as I've bled XRP in margin for months.... we will see... if we see 3500sats I am touched out and damn broke! Surely XRP must shine (or just do less badly than BTC. that would do me!!). FFS. rant over.
