Over $1: XRP Rises As Ripple-Coinbase Rumors Renew

Ripple achieves rumoured national rollout with Japan Bank Consortium

I was asked to post pictures of the other types of metals I used to make physical ripple coins

It's useful to look back sometimes.

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 07:57 AM PST

Roughly 8 months ago today I was sat hovering over the buy XRP button. I researched what Ripple's mission was and the partnerships they had and decided I was going to invest in XRP. This was at about $0.16.

At this time there was a lot of negative press towards Ripple and XRP, much like there was towards BTC at the start of it's existence.

We sat through critics saying Crypto is used by criminals, Blockchain has no purpose and we tolerated the lynch mobs against anyone who even mentioned XRP in the CryptoCurrency subreddit.

Today we're at just under x5 the price we were at 8 months ago and the massive amounts of growth from Ripple is insane. 132 partnerships with companies using xCurrent & xRapid. Holding steady at 3rd by Market cap in the listings, new partnerships announced on a weekly basis.

We should be proud of the progress Ripple have made and their apparent "We can do anything" attitude only spurs me on as an investor.

    Thanks RIPPLE.

HODL your horses, be chill, we're still $0.10 up

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 12:58 PM PST

This time yesterday we had been stuck at $0.88 for weeks. The sell off didn't come close to dropping that low, so it will consolidate back up slightly now, wouldn't surprise me if we're still sitting pretty at $1 over the next 12 hours.

    Back to regular programming folks.

    Volume 10x in 24 hours

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 06:30 AM PST

XRP volume has increased 10x in the last 24 hours leading me to speculate that something is brewing... I can't see this volume being attributable to CB rumors.

Also if you look at the volume is terms of pairings over 45% is with KRW which could mean more big news coming from Asia this week....

I was going to buy XRP before this fiasco, buy now or wait?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 04:57 PM PST

Due to delays in funds etc, I didn't get a chance to buy last week. I also didn't want to buy high out of speculation as I didn't feel xrp/coinbase partnership was going to be announced.

Now that XRP is somewhat normalized should I buy or will it keep dropping? Maybe buy after the interview as people may still be in the dark about the tweet ?

had a vision about xrp. do not give up

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 07:39 PM PST

woke up I was sweating the heat. face was dripping. zero energy. I passed out and my conscious left I was there. it was bright. a grand future. checked the price. it was higher than I could ever imagine. the feeling was surreal. I woke up, no more sweat. dehydrated. could not stop drinking water. I still feel the heat. but now I have hope. do not give up

    Complete Unsubstantiated Speculation

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 09:38 PM PST

The other piece of Coinbase news from today went mostly unnoticed:

    https://twitter.com/Recode/status/970660275618754561

Coinbase pulled in $1 billion last year and has to be sitting on a fair amount of cash. Private investors are falling over themselves for a stake in Coinbase.

What if the real news isn't XRP being listed but rather, Coinbase is in the process of raising funds to take a small stake in Ripple? (Or vice versa?)

Google Ventures already has a stake in Ripple and their angel list overlaps quite a bit, the usual suspects including Andressen Horowitz, Digital Currency Group, Blockchain Capital, etc.

Market Cap vs # of Coins. 2 trains of thought with XRP, Pessimist and Optimist

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 08:26 PM PST

My theory and many others, the amount of coins vs market cap. We need a colossal movement in the market in order to see significant price change because there are so many coins. Also the majority of the coins are being held by Ripple, the wealth is highly centralized. Ripple, at any time can flood the XRP market to manipulate the price, maybe at the request of their customers, the big banks.

On the opticistic side, the technology is in testing phase not in mainstream use as of yet. When banks and large international institutions begin large and frequent transactions with ripple. Will it create even an Elevated rise in Market Cap and will it be enough to move it past the $3 mark?

    I want your analysis
