what happened to DAO hacker (a few years back) now?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 06:24 PM PST

Just wondering if that DAO hacker a few years back still managed to obtain that massive amount of ETC? Wouldn't he be filthy rich now?

Is there a general discord channel for the Ethereum community?

Hi. I went over to the spacestation discord channel and got the feeling it wasn't Ethereum exclusive. Are there any other discord communities for Ethereum?

I'm really excited about it! I've learned quite a bit since my first, which was a smart contract to bet on the Olympics.

Website is https://ethking.co , and smart contract is linked there.

    Here's how the game works:

    • There's a pot that you can win.
    • You win the pot by getting 1 million points.
    • You get points by being King.
    • You become King by bidding 0.5% of the pot.
    • While King, you get minutes2 (squared) points.

Once someone wins (gets to one million points), the winner gets half of the main pot and the second place person gets the bonus pot.

75% of bids go to the main pot, 20% of bids go to the bonus pot, and 5% of bids go to the developer to seed future games.

Is there any point running non-mining full ETH nodes?

    Posted: 05 Mar 2018 06:58 PM PST

I have read that the ETH node must validate all transactions, and that includes executing all the contracts, is that true? This seems very costly to carry out all these complex calculations! I know that miners are compensated by the gas price, but running a full ETH node would be a thankless job.
