Got banned from a subreddit or Telegram chat when you call out shady behavior or concerns? Should be a red flag, and report it to the SEC and FBI. Links in here.

Just got banned from an ERC20 subreddit (not naming the specific one so I don't get accused of FUD) after pointing out the law firm that rated their token a "Utility Token" is run by someone who has a ton of other crypto related fraud in their history.

It's a red flag when you get banned from a subreddit for asking some basic questions. The SEC and FBI are here now in this space and welcome any information about unregistered securities offerings, financial fraud, ponzi schemes, etc. The faster we can get unearth the bad actors the better it is for the space. Here are links to report bad actors:

    SEC

    https://www.sec.gov/tcr

    https://acadia.sec.gov/TcrWeb/faces/pages/intake.jspx

    FBI

    https://tips.fbi.gov/

I'm sure they're super busy right now, but the more data they have, the better. Good luck all!

    EDIT:

The SEC even has a little box you can check about social media (How did you learn about the conduct? You may select more than one answer):

Social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, blogs, chat rooms, and electronic communities of interest)

If a year or two ago investing in top 10 cryptos was a smart move what do you think the top range should be today? Top 25? Top 50? Top 100? Top 200?And why?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 11:28 AM PST

So obviously there are way more awesome projects out there today. And I am not saying it should be any top 10 or top 100. Obviously you are free to make exceptions. Personally I wouldn't look down below top 100 7 months ago and finding myself looking at the top 250 nowadays, I would say a big chunk out of those are worth investing in with obvious exceptions if you DYOR.

SEC.gov | Statement on Potentially Unlawful Online Platforms for Trading Digital Assets

Can this impact alt-coin exchanges like Binance?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2018 10:28 PM PST

    Hey friends,

In light of this recent statement by the SEC I was curious to hear thoughts on the implications that this might pose in the future? As we saw yesterday this news was certainly a contributing factor to the dip in the overall market and I am just curious if you think the SEC has jurisdictional control over International exchanges such as Binance? Curious to hear what everyone feels about this?
