Changing PoW is a Trojan horse. Posted: 07 Mar 2018 02:31 PM PST Cobra wants to change PoW to strip the current miners from their power over the network. I think certain actors have a plan to gain majority mining power with this change. This takeover is being masked and sold as a move towards decentralization. Changing the PoW for BTC would cause all miners to switch to BCH because they are heavily invested in their mining equipment. The BCH network could arguably take over BTC once the BCH network becomes significantly more dominant ie. The Flippening. This is already slowly happening, but in order to maintain their power over Bitcoin, they must change both coins' PoW and render all versions of Bitcoin obsolete. When has mining centralization ever compromised Bitcoin or allowed a double-spend to be successful? There is nothing wrong with Bitcoin's PoW mining algorithm. @Cobra, Blockstream, etc... There will always be Bitcoin. We will fork again if we have to. We will create a new genesis block from the original client if we have to. You've lost. Stop being greedy and live in the future. Don't panic sell - you'll just be feeding the whales Posted: 07 Mar 2018 09:53 PM PST Whales start selling to try to get regular people to panic sell so the price goes down even quicker without the whales needing to sell anymore. Whales start buying at low prices to jumpstart the price again, then regular people feel FOMO and price rises. Then the cycle continues and whales get people to panic sell again by selling. Don't be manipulated by the whales. [link] [comments]

Solution to 1 Satoshi / Byte Fee Issue in Ledger Nano S (Technical) Posted: 08 Mar 2018 12:01 AM PST I believe I found the issue to BCH transactions being delayed when sending 1 Satoshi / Byte transactions using the Ledger Nano S. I've described the solution in this comment. I'm putting this out here just in case someone is able to create a patch which /u/btchip could integrate. [link] [comments]
