Posted: 19 Mar 2018 06:51 AM PDT Lately whenever a conversation develops with my customers, I steer the conversation towards Bitcoin. While most are interested and intrigued, none have yet been into crypto. If they show enough interest, I help them download a wallet and give them their change in Bitcoin . This St Patrick's weekend, with the city full of visitors, I introduced 23 people to crypto. Hopefully they will go back to their home countries and spread the word. In the last 12 months, I have introduced over 500 people. This is how I want to see Bitcoin grow, as a peer to peer method of value transfer, not as a speculative asset. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 20 Mar 2018 03:34 AM PDT please correct me if i'm wrong but how is the lightening network completely free if i still have to pay fees for going onchain again? could i just put all of my btc into the lightening network and never ever go on the btc blockchain again? would that be safe to hold all my btc in a lightening channel? if so, wouldn't that undermine the purpose of the bitcoin blockchain? people are lazy and want to save fees so what will happen if everyone only uses lightening and never goes onchain again? just curious [link] [comments]  | ||

I normally don't approve of spamming but I contacted whatsapp support and they don't have any plans to add Bitcoin. I think if the community all request a symbol or emoji they'll have to listen. Just to let you know, WhatsApp has over 1.5 billion users*. Posted: 19 Mar 2018 09:52 AM PDT I got into bitcoin last August and I have to admit I went through a little period of anxiety and obsession constantly checking the price and worrying about selling at highs and buying at lows like any good bitcoiner does. But recently, I naturally found myself not caring much anymore (even during this recent correction). I check occasionally but I've reached a point where I'm just kind of a lazy hodler. It may not be best for my portfolio, but it's good for my mind and body. If you're kind of new and feel a little unhealthy keeping up with this stuff, in about eight months you'll start chilling out.
