    New xrp/fiat pairs of kraken

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 10:26 AM PST

I noticed last night that Kraken has added Fiat pairs for CAD and JPY. Should help grow adoption and break the price tether to BTC, assuming Kraken can stay ahead of their stability issues.

Can xrp be used to settle payments with banks that are only confirmed to be using Xcurrent ?

New investors, Don't be staved off from the recent bloodbath.

We need these corrections. Even in the stock market when things are bullish, a correction always comes. Without this things would just keep rising and cause a bubble that would burst and cause devastation. Thank god crypto retraced 50-75% in january, in the end it always stays up a certain percentage overall, then reaches new highs after it consolidates. Example. Xrp went from .24 to 3.5 from beginning of december to beginning of jan. Then the crash came, we never went below.65. Big correction but overall still 3x higher. There was still growth.

MG, WU, XRP... The future of sending $.

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:09 PM PST

So I've been thinking about this a lot: IMO MoneyGram and Western Union will have no choice but to become crypto exchanges. Imagine you need to send $ to someone in another part of the world. What's the fastest/cheapest way to do this? Buy some XRP. Send it instantly to an address. And that person can then cash out into fiat and have the funds immediately. Sure, right now there isn't a lot of ways to "cash out" or "buy in" to XRP comparatively but look at the SBI deal. XRP/fiat is the primary pair for that. Once this starts to catch on it will be THE fastest way to send $. MG and WU will die unless they adopt Xrapid. And I think they realize this.... Why else would they both be trying it? Thoughts?

Hi everybody, according to the result of the poll, the implementation of Ripple XRP buy and sell alert on Chirality Bot has begun. We see good results of the algorithm in the difficult month of January 2018! Stay tuned, it will be released soon!

Can we talk about what could possibly cause XRP's price to collapse?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:28 AM PST

I'm thinking about investing a huge chunk of my savings into XRP. I can afford to lose it, but it would really suck. So I wanna get a bit of insight of what could actually go wrong here. From all I read in this subreddit everyone believes XRP will go ham and definitely increase a lot in value from here on out, however, no one actually talks about what could potentially go wrong here, and it seems to me from reading all these opinions it's almost 100% guaranteed that the price will go up in the long term and with all these developed partnerships already it seems likely. So could anything actually go wrong and XRP fall to 0, or are we most definitely going to see an incredible uptrend in the future? :)

For the wallets that require 20xrp minimum, do you get that 20 back or is it their fee for using?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 12:45 PM PST

I don't have tons of xrp but I finally bought a decent amount more, and moved off the exchange I use. With ToastWallet they require you to have a minimum 20xrp. If I were ever to move everything back to an exchange to sell, would that 20xrp be able to transfer as well? Thanks!

Does everyone submit FBAR to IRS???

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 01:13 PM PST

I just stumbled upon this and had no idea what it was......so my understanding is if you own more than $10K in assets in a foreign bank, which includes crypto exchanges, you have to report your account with the FinCet division of the Treasury........and after the recent run-up in XRP there might be some people that crossed that threshold and don't know about it....and you have to report the account every year that your account is over that amount

I'm glad someone mentioned this in a thread because i had no idea you had to report your account.......the penalties are very steep and unforgiving........just a heads up in case someone was in the dark, like me....https://bsaefiling.fincen.treas.gov/main.html

How do I sell xrp on bitstamp to usd?

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 04:01 AM PST

I want to sell xrp to usd and I think from what I've searched on this Reddit and on google is that I will have to convert xrp to bitcoin and then send the bitcoin to coinbase where I can put it into my bank. On bitstamp when I go to sell my xrp should I sell it and then buy bitcoin and then transfer? Is there a better way?
