These are the strict rules and thought patterns that make me a successful trader:

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:39 AM PST

    1. Do not FOMO
    2. Ok I should have FOMOed but now it's too late.
    3. Ok, it wasn't too late, but now it definitely is.
    4. Wrong again, anyways close to the top.
    5. Screw this, TA doesn't work
    6. I knew it I shouldn't have bought at the top.
    7. Do not FUD! We're certainly going to retest the high.
    8. Ok, I should have FUDded but now it's too late.
    9. Ok, It wasn't too late but now it definitely is.
    10. Wrong again, but I'm pretty sure we'll bounce real soon.
    11. Screw this, TA doesn't work
    12. I knew it I shouldn't have sold at the bottom.

    Rinse and repeat till broke.

Best exchange for europeans? (With many coins listed and low fees.)

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 03:53 AM PST

    Hi :)

Actually I have an account on gdax and on bittrex, i feel good with gdax (and their no-fee network transactions) but I don't really like bittrex with its high fees.

I use gdax for buying bitcoins or ethereum with euro to transfer to bittrex to buy other coins.

Anyone could suggest me any exchange with many coins listed and low fees that accepts European customers??

If anyone could give me a better alternative to gdax too I would be glad 🤙

PMT - critical research & opportunity inside

    Posted: 17 Feb 2018 02:36 PM PST

I have done quite some digging on various new crypto projects and I wanted to share my research on the DAO Playmarket 2.0 with you and get your take on it. The more I learned about it, the more I actually got excited about it. Feel free to get me grounded again, if you have constructive criticism on it. I am not affiliated with, connected to or otherwise tied to the DAO Playmarket project team or the project itself in any way. I consider myself a long-term investor (+1 year hodl), seeing how the market developed over the last months and years, I would fail miserably as day trader. Plus, I want to keep the tax hassle to a minimum -> long term gains, few trades only – but very selective with solid chance for significant long term success.

Here is my research on PMT:

First, what the heck is this project anyway??

    • Providing the first decentralized Android app store based on crypto

    • Including an unrivaled, built-in ICO platform for app developers (yes, app developers can create their own token due to the platform offering a built-in crowd-investing ICO platform). Benefit on top: PMT holders gain dividend payments from this!

    • Active development team with regular updates via Facebook, Twitter, Videos as well as coding on Github (website & whitepaper of course as well)

    • Roadmap available – with over one year of already accomplished development topics

What market does it play in and what market size are we talking about?

    • Targeting am Android market expected to be $20 billion dollars (source) for third party stores alone, there is a huge market that can be addressed – even without having to battle against the larger stores e.g. from Google.

    • Looking a few years ahead, Google Play is expected to generate $42 billion, and third-party stores $36 billion by 2021. What share of this the DAO Playmarket will take in is yet to be seen. I like though, that they will run an aggressive marketing campaign having raised 5 million in their ICO. Also, due to its platform being resistant to censorship, as the main information is stored in blockchain, the DAO Playmarket is set to have a strong stand e.g. in the Asian markets - a place where, next to the US & the UK, 85% of the revenue is expected to come from by 2021 (today it is already 75% of the revenue). For the same reason, governments are also not able to impose restrictions on their citizens or other countries as related to specific apps, or to put pressure on developers. This is good news for Asian market, where a massive increase in app downloads is expected in China alone at a rate of 19% annually from 2016 to 2021. So this should overall provide a very sizable user base that can be addressed.

Competition in the Crypto sphere && Project risks

    • I am aware of AppCoin, though this runs a slight different concept and it is not offering a crowd-investing (ICO) platform and consequently also no dividend option. Having only 3 million tokens, whereof only 25% are held (& frozen for 24months) by the DAO foundation, is a lot less than AppCoins with over 246 million tokens, whereof a lot less was offered and sold during the crowd-funding phase.

    • Opinion: At this early stage, I am less worried on competition, since the masses still need to be educated on accepting and putting more trust in crypto. The more players join in educating the masses, the better for all projects as the market is so big allowing multiple players to succeed.

    • The biggest risk from my perspective is the marketing effort and reaching adoption. You need to go out there and promote your platform to both, end users and developers. So there is an initial effort to kickstart this. The more users come, the more developers are interested. The more developers/apps there are, the more users get attracted. So you need an initial push to get the engine moving up the hill, so it can then run down and pick up speed by more people jumping on board making it heavier on the downhill run and therewith automatically faster/better. On the positive side of the house, according to the whitepaper, the marketing campaign is getting its funding through the ICO result. So funding is there, initial apps/developers as well, so this should give this a good start. Note, that the main stores like Google charge a developers commission (30%) that is 30 times higher than the DAO Playmarket (1%). This makes the DAO Playmarket a lot more attractive for developers and should be a very big help in adoption.

    Opportunity

    • With this significant drop in the market overall the DAO Playmarket was hit quite hard and consequently offering an interesting opportunity to enter.

    • Its ICO (PMT token) ended at the end of December selling one PMT for 0.2 ETH. The entire ICO phase ranged from 0.12 ETH per PMT token up to 0.2 ETH per PMT token (source). In the last days with this current market PMT is listed now 60% to 80% below its initial ICO, which was with $5 million quite successful.

    • A 10% share of the addressable $20 billion market alone, worth $2 billion, and seeing that there are only 3 million PMT tokens, would bring one PMT in the range of about $666 (about 0.7 ETH for today's ETH price). Currently with an ETH rate of about $956, a PMT is trading for less than $48 (about 0.05 ETH). So reaching this market share would already mean a 14x. Even less would be a great success and opportunity already. PS: This is without taken the other things in consideration, e.g. that this project offers (built-in ICO platform & paying dividends!). The store is BTW not just paper-research! Launching of the store is already in preparation for the next couple of months and development was active since over a year – see the roadmap and if you are interested on more details, there is a whitepaper and website of course as well – see below.

    • One of my favorites: Listing on Yobit, Bittrex and Bitfinex (twitter) have been requested, making it accessible to a much larger audience shortly. This should provide some solid upwind as well once it hits one of these exchanges.

Brief update on finalized ICO / token perspective:

    • ERC20 token with very limited supply of only 3 million token

    • ICO from 0.12 ETH to 0.2 ETH ended successfully ($5 million reached)

    • 75% were offered in crowd-sale, which is a large percentage compared to other coins. The project team's tokens are frozen for 24 month.

    Additional thoughts / unique features

    • Dividends payment: Holders of PMT tokens automatically become co-owners of the platform-based DAO PlayMarket Foundation, which takes a 5% cut from developers releasing their own token (ICO) on the platform. From this, dividends will be paid out on pro-rata basis (to PMT token holders).

    • Project was able to convince initial investors and partners (e.g. BitBaza) and received 350k investment capital

    • Like in other app stores, developers do not receive a salary by the platform provider, but are selling their own developed app through the platform. Hence the platform gets a free growth and the store can scale freely through its network of developers. For developers a 1% commission is very attractive (compared to 30% in other stores).

    DERO: Privacy + Smart Contracts

Dero at present is a code fork of Monero (Helium Hydra) with the Bytecoin CryptoNote protocol.

Dero will be a completely new blockchain technology integrating the CryptoNote protocol with new smart contract controls.

Dero is being rewritten from C++ to Golang (Google Language) to bring together CryptoNote and smart contracts on the Dero blockchain.

No ICO just hard POW mining :)

CryptoNote protocol implementation in Golang is almost completed and available on GitHub for basic testing/evaluation.
