Posted: 01 Jan 2018 06:27 AM PST There are a couple of coins that are going to pan out long term because of their tech and partnerships, etc. The rest are long shots and garbage coins. Right now we are in limbo, and you're seeing a big shell game being played. Lots of people are making money jumping from one coin to the next, riding one pump to the next. Pumping the coin of the day, then bashing it as they cash out and hop to the next. It's all hot air but traders are having fun. If you're not playing that game you need to sit tight with the coins you believe in long term and wait for real traction. And ignore the noise from the traders in the meantime. They're all over reddit trying to manipulate you. Half the blogs you read are doing the same thing btw. Do your own research and try (it's hard) to separate fact from fiction. [link] [comments]

Everytime I doubted LTC it left me in the dust... Posted: 01 Jan 2018 05:21 AM PST Every time I was holding LTC waiting for it to do something, I would sell most of my position and go into something else BTC, ETH, etc. And then before you know it, it was up 20%+. Now, im buying the FOMO chase, only for it to come back down or to be trading sideways. The only time I've "made money" is when I HODL. I know it's hard to do it at ATH, and when your caught up in greed. But if you actually believe in LTC and not trying to make a quick buck I think it will be very profitable in the end. In the beginning I was up every night checking prices, losing sleep, I couldn't handle the swings. But now, I'm waiting to see what the future holds for LTC, no matter the price swings, and I think that takes time to get used to it if your new to this world. Also, I try to do my part telling friends, family, small business to check out litecoin. And definitely tell your friends and family this is a very volatile market. [link] [comments]

HELP: I need to verify signatures (ELECTRUM LTC) Posted: 01 Jan 2018 11:46 AM PST This is going to be long: When I first begun, I bought 2 litecoins on Coinbase and transferred them to my ELECTRUM_BTC wallet. After realizing, I used this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umsIy1ks8vg I recovered the litecoins in my ELECTRUM_LTC wallet. I was trying to sell my litecoins recently, and tried sending them to coinbase recently. The transaction could not be completed because the coin was not properly signed. It has 1/2 signatures. Can anyone help? [link] [comments]

As of 2018, I now have my first full litecoin and do intend to hodl, lets hopw it pays out! Posted: 01 Jan 2018 10:48 AM PST Some of you might think: "1 litecoin, how ridiculous", however, my situation is quite simple: I'm not investing right now (following the philosophy: don't invest what you can't lose), what I have comes from what I can mine (when I'm not using my pc), and exchange for a coin (litecoin here). I had, before, mainly used ETH and BTC, some times I had used LTC, but only for small exchanges that benefited from the very low fee of Litecoin. But now, I do intend to stop mining and selling, I'll weekly exchange everything I mined to Litecoin and hodl. I hope it will, somewhat, pay out over the long run. (I don't expect miracles, but I can at least hope for some gains) [link] [comments]

My new year's litecoin resolution Posted: 31 Dec 2017 04:18 PM PST 1) Try to be kind to new litecoin users and patiently help them if needed. 2) Stop bashing Charlie Lee and/or the litecoin devs if litecoin's price falls (which i highly doubt). 3) Stop arguing with my fellow litecoin users and integrate myself within the litecoin community in a harmonious, productive and peaceful way. 4) Improve my knowledge on litecoin so i can be better at teaching others about this great tech. 5) Be a better person in general. Whats the lowest fee I could possible set for a litecoin transaction? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 09:56 AM PST Most wallets set the default minimum at 100 sat/byte, but couldn't I potentially put it lower? Will nodes still accept my transaction or will they ignore it for being too low? edit: *possibly in title [link] [comments]
Can I import Wallet.dat into another service? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 09:11 AM PST I found an old Litecoin.DAT and Bitcoin.dat backup that I am sure is empty, but I want to check just to make sure. do I have to download the Litecoin.qt app and install it on my computer to check? I really don't want to download the whole blockchain just to find out that I have to empty backups. But I do want to check. I have the LitecoinBackup.dat and Bitcoinbackup.dat files and their passwords. (Who knows, maybe there are some fractional coins in there?) What is the best and quickest way to do this? Now that bitcoin had a successful lightning network transaction, what does that mean for litecoin? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 08:37 AM PST I thought litecoin was popular for it fast transactions and cheap fees, but if bitcoin now has this lightning network, what's the difference? [link] [comments]
For all you people demanding the 2018 surprise RIGHT NOW! Posted: 31 Dec 2017 10:17 PM PST For everybody demanding this annoucement... please... please... if anybody is listening... We do NOT need this announcement right now, we need it at the RIGHT TIME. For some of the thinkers out there, I'm curious to what you think the right time would be to make some of these nexts announcements (because there are more than one). Maybe wait until the next pump starts, release one of the smaller ones, let it pump some more, another smaller one, let it pump some more, then the big ole juicy one (we already have Bazaar which god, if there is a god, please let that be the smallest, most meaningless one). Posted: 01 Jan 2018 04:24 AM PST So.. we in Canada have capital gains tax, obviously. Ok, that's fine. How do you report coins you've won through gambling? In Canada, gambling winnings aren't taxable... If for example: I had five LTC. I gamble 4 LTC and lose them. I gamble my last LTC and leave the casino with 25 LTC. How are you supposed to report that? Are you? This is going to get complicated. [link] [comments]
If ever a huge news breaks in.... Posted: 01 Jan 2018 11:52 AM PST If ever a huge news regarding any cryptocurrency breaks in, what media or platform delivers that particular news the fastest? Asking this so that we get an early mover's advantage and take decisions accordingly to the news. (Basically we can FOMO first 😛) [link] [comments] |
