Suggestions for trading application/osx Posted: 01 Jan 2018 01:07 AM PST Any suggestions for trading applications like sierra chart or mt4 for osx with bitmex api? I'm trying to execute market orders and getting beaten up but trades have still been pretty good, just missing out not being fast enough. I've seen how some applications will follow price and add/remove orders from the books instantly, any suggestions? Thanks - Happy New Year [link] [comments] |
Problem with Kraken depositing Bitcoin to trade Posted: 31 Dec 2017 07:04 PM PST Hi I got the notification that I was verified for tier 1 but am still not able to deposit any crypto currency into my account all it says is "This action is not available for tier level 1 Your current funding tier level (1) is insufficient for this functionality. Please further verify your account to increase your tier level and funding limits." But tier 1 is supposed to be able to deposit crypto currency for trading. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Update: this is a kraken issue, they are aware and working on it Update 2: it appears to be fixed! [link] [comments] |
Question - Is margin trading rigged? Posted: 31 Dec 2017 10:05 PM PST I have been most conservative and kept track of most of my trades. It has been a 10% win and 90% losing rate. I have researched, done TA, read news. This is suppose to be 50/50 change of it going up and down right? It seems that every time I put any orders in, it immediately go the opposite direction. This is wash trading right? [link] [comments] |
Which altcoin to park in during this BTC bear market? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 03:57 AM PST I'm thinking bitcoin will continue falling until the 7-8K range. I want to park some of my holdings in an alt, but not sure which..? Mainly looking for stability through this rough period for BTC [link] [comments] |
Please help me review my current crypto holdings expressed as a % of $USD Posted: 01 Jan 2018 04:46 AM PST I hold the coins below and have listed the % exposure according to the total usd outlay (when originally purchasing them on the exhanges). I think its unwise of me to reveal my actual usd fiat monetary exposure. Im obviously heavily weighted in BTC which concerns me a bit but Im waiting to see if the Lightening Network will resolve the abhorrent scaling issues. I bought chunks of Ripple when it was around/ below .25c and recently sold 1 BTC to buy more XRP, EOS and IOTA. On paper I have made decent gains on all my crypto holdings but Ive never really sold any and taken profits (converting back to fiat). I have 3 times the quantity of BCH to BTC as a hedge in case there is a so called 'flippening'. My quantity of LTC is 5 times that of BTC for the same reason. Obviously I hold huge quantity of XRP. In 2018 I think I should maybe do more analysis on alt coins and potentially sell more BTC and gamble on some of the newer coins. Amongst all of them there must be a 'sleeping giant' there somewhere. Do you agree with my line of thinking based on my holdings? What are your thoughts on all this? Coin exposure listed as a % of total money usd invested in 2017. For example, 50% of the total usd$ that I spent in 2017 is in BTC etc: BTC 50% BCH 20% ETH 3% LTC 3% DSH 5% XRP 11% XLM 1% NEO 1% EOS 3% IOTA 3% [link] [comments] |
Weekend Project - Kraken Export Parser (v0.01) for Tax Prep - Google Sheet Posted: 31 Dec 2017 01:17 PM PST I spent a few hours over the weekend working with the Kraken exports in a Google Sheet to see if I could figure out a good way to handle accounting for all my trades, PnL and tax reporting. I'm not quite there yet but I'm out of time to work on it for now and I figured I'd share in case it could be useful to somebody. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12m8IbEOAAQuUNFh_vES-kpBarP9YgJm5ixKE57FQFR4/edit?usp=sharing One bit of good news is that my start and end balance for the time period of my export reconciled with my ledger activity exactly. If you want to check yours, look at the stats tab, column V. [link] [comments] |

I started the sign up process but says I am only a "verification level 1". Do i need to go through all the verifications to be able to deposit an altcoin/buy/sell/withdraw it? [link] [comments] |
