Suggestions on where to find 6pin PCIE to 6pin male to male cables? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:39 AM PST I've been looking everywhere, and I can't seem to find any. I'm going to power my risers direct from the 6pin outputs from my psu to the 6pin input for each riser. Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:35 AM PST I'm building out a mining rig using the following: 6x GTX 1070 ti 1x GIGABYTE GA-Z270P-D3 LGA1151 1x Pentium Processor G4400 3.3 GHz 1x Ballistix Sport LT 4GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s 1x ADATA SU700 120GB 3D-NAND 6x Mailiya PCIe Dual Chip PCI-E 1x Power Cable on/off Push Button ATX Computer Switch Wire 45cm 1x TP-Link Smart Plug w/ Energy Monitoring 1x Dual PSU Adapter 1x Add2PSU My question is with the power supply. Can I use an EVGA G2 750 to power 2 of the 1070 TIs and the mobo, and a Seasonic Platinum 1200 to power the other 4 1070 TIs? [link] [comments]
Looking for some hints to track GPU stocks Posted: 02 Jan 2018 05:32 AM PST Hey. Do you guys use some apps or something else to track GPU prices and stocks ? I'm living in France and I'm looking for some app that could mail me or whatever when a GPU is out on some selected websites, it would be cool if it can trigger at a selected price, there is some websites that bring together these informations but mostly for UK/US/GERMANY I know a bunch of chrome extensions but some are not reliable and others doesn't offer features I want to have (like mailîng me). Do you think I should make some Python script ? I'm not a profesionnal programmer (I mean I could do a scraper but... I want to be sure it's not already available) What do you guys use for that ? Do you have some links or some hints to get cheaps GPU ? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:03 AM PST Where did you learn how to manage that amount of equipment? (Proper amount of power, amps, Watts, blah blah blah). Is there like a "build your own server room 101" that you followed? Any resources you can contribute? Not looking to turn it into fruition, just looking for knowledge :) thanks. Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:13 AM PST Hopefully someone with experience in both can chime in. I currently run a 2x 1080ti Setup. I have tried single coin mining...ie Mona, vertcoin. I found I was only getting $11 a day. I am currently running snifdogminer (algo switcher) and averaging $25 a day. I recently just purchased 2 more 1080ti's so I was planning on doing some tinkering. I keep hearing about dual mining, but how does it compare to algo switching? With 4 cards I'll be doing $50 a day algo mining, will dual mining give me anywhere near this kind of payout? I realize I could set it up and run it for a day or two to find out for myself, but im hoping someone who has tried both can chime in before i potentially go and waste my time and potential profits. Compatibility between the Biostar BTC250 Pro and the Gigabyte XP1200M PSU. Posted: 02 Jan 2018 05:49 AM PST Hi All, First off, i have tried looking for answers, and I am waiting on a reply from Biostar, but none has been forthcoming thus far. So i am turning to this forum for some help. Also, the user manuals and the websites don't give enough information. This is my first build, and looking at MOBO reviews decided to go with the Biostar TB250-BTC PRO motherboard. As I live in South East Asia, stocks of 1200W PSU's are quite hard to find and troublesome to order overseas for delivery. As such, the was only one available PSU which was the Gigabyte XP1200M. The information found on the Biostar website for 6 GPU's (RX580's) was for the minimum of 1x1200W. There was no information of required connections on the PSU. The physical connections on the PSU are as follows; ATX/MB 20+4 Pin x 1 CPU/EPS 4+4 Pin x 2 PCI-e 6+2 Pin x 4 SATA x 4 Power. According to the Biostar website, i require at least 4 power connections to the MOBO a; 24 pin, 8 pin and 4 Pin (x2). Even if running only 6 GPU's. Question 1. Does the 8 Pin MOBO power connect from CPU/EPS 4+4 connection on the PSU. Question 2. For the 4 pin (x2) MOBO power requirement, does that come from the 6 pin SATA connection. The only cable (boxed with the PSU) with a 4 pin connector is the SATA cable. There are 2 SATA cables that have 4 x 4 Pin connectors on each cable, essentially giving 8 connections over 2 cables. Question 3. Further to question 2, do you think i can daisy chain the two 4 pin power requirement on 1 SATA cable. Risers. Question 4. As i have 6 Riser cards, the least i can use is 3 SATA connectors on the PSU. As according to the Biostar website, i can run no more than 2 risers on one SATA cable. Is there another way? or is this quite acceptable. Question 5. To power the GPU's from the PCIE connectors on the PSU, can i also daisy chain 2 on one cable. There are 2 PCIE cables included with the PSU, that each have 2x 6+2 connections. Which means if i can use them in this fashion, i would have to purchase one more. Question 6. I purchased a SATA SSD, so can i place it on the same SATA cable as the 2 risers, and not create a problem. The overall question, is the PSU usable with the requirements of the Motherboard, or can i buy adapters to create more PCIE or SATA connections. Sorry for the length of this post. Just eager to get into this. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2018 07:25 PM PST Does anyone use Molex cables to power their risers? I know most people use the six pin direct into the riser but Molex should cover the power draw, right? If so, how many risers per daisy chain do you use? I read the discussion on the correct way to power risers at: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9495/the-correct-way-of-powering-the-risers-for-the-470-480 But I'm wondering if I can power 2-3 cards per molex daisy chain considering I'm running 1070's instead of RX 570/80s Thoughts? MSI GTX 1070 Aero mini for 24/7 use? Posted: 02 Jan 2018 03:56 AM PST I'm thinking about getting an MSI 1070 Aero mini but I'm not sure it will survive 24/7 use for a long time. Is anyone using this card in a mining setup? [link] [comments]
Does anyone have any experience with this 2600W HP PSU from tomtop? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 09:24 PM PST Really appealing since it has a built in mobo power cable instead of a separate breakout board with a power switch. Just curious about its quality since i'd rather not risk frying a bunch of cards. [link] [comments]
Block finding sporadic in pools Posted: 02 Jan 2018 02:21 AM PST With pools being rather sporadic at finding blocks, would there be any disadvantages to running a few windows of say EWBF and mining eg ZEN, ZCL and ZEC? This would give you the best chance of getting payouts consistently between all the pools but obviously the payouts would be lower. [link] [comments]
How to purchase cards in bulk? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 06:35 PM PST Some of you might have seen my previous post so here the deal: I've decided to build a rig first to test with profitably and stability. If it turns out well, then I'm planning to expand to 50-100 cards. How do I purchase these cards in bulk? Most stores up here in canada has a limit of 1 card per customer. [link] [comments]
Used vs Referbished HP common slot power supply Posted: 02 Jan 2018 04:49 AM PST Does anyone have experience buying common slot power supplies? I have the choice of used vs refurbished and I don't know which to choose. Obviously I am looking for reliability and longevity? Thinking about buying half and half since I don't know. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Jan 2018 11:57 PM PST Hey all , I've been mining on suprnova but I'm getting massively frustrated with certain elements because I can't seem to find any documentation on their API. From google searches I found a snippet But I need to know what other actions I can issue. It's either staring me in the face or I just can't find it. Any help at all would be appreciated. Can nicehash still be trusted? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 10:42 AM PST I'm thinking about going back to mining with NiceHash, is it a good idea or not? If so give me some other 1 click softwares [link] [comments]
Suggestions with mixed GPUs in one rig? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 08:39 PM PST It looks like some people here have problems with one or more GPUs when they are mixed up. I'm considering using only AMD, but mixing 470/480/570/580, either 4G or 8G versions depending on what cards I can get. Any suggestions for this setup and what are some of the potential issues I might run into? I currently run one RX580 8G and I've learned that the rx570 might need a patch to get it running. Thanks! Posted: 01 Jan 2018 07:28 PM PST Guys, I'm looking to start moving my miners into the garage. 240v 30amp outlet with a PDU. What do you guys do for cooling. I have an 8 case nvidia 1060 rig and am looking to add 2 more rigs. [link] [comments]
Is it normal for Lyra2/Neoscrypt to cause constant core and voltage fluctuations? Posted: 01 Jan 2018 07:23 PM PST I have some rigs with 1070's right now, all on risers, motherboards are Biostar T250-BTC's (the 6 PCI-E version) running a clean Win10. This applies to all cards. When the cards are mining on Equihash their clocks and volts are completely solid, I can use Afterburner and the voltage curve to set exactly the clocks and volts I want to maximize performance and keep it stable. When they run Lyra2rev2 and Neoscrypt, however, the core clock is constantly fluctuating by a couple of steps and the voltage also fluctuates usually a step or two up or down. Is this normal for these algorithms? It makes maximizing a stable clock difficult compared to Equihash and I'm not comfortable with the volts constantly changing, although I assume that's perfectly fine for the card (I'm just paranoid?) Hopefully this isn't some sort of dumb question. I tried to look around quite a bit and couldn't find anything at all related to this. [link] [comments]

View on no name 1600w power supply. Posted: 01 Jan 2018 06:32 PM PST All the name brand power supplys are sold out or way over priced. What are your views on the no name power supplys for your mining rig. I know the power supply is the most important part of a build and when you have 6k of video cards pluged into it you want it to work [link] [comments]
