Update: The European markets were not sufficiently healthy to enable Coinbase customers to buy and sell Bitcoin Cash. We anticipate enabling buys and sells for European customers in early January 2018.

Blockchain wallet asks for 0.1 BCH as a transaction fee

    Posted: 27 Jan 2018 03:07 AM PST

well, i have found some old wallet of mine on blockchain.info, used to be BTC only, now there is about 0.25 BCH (after fork). wanted to transfer this to my regular wallet and SURPRISE, even there is stated a fee 0.00073588 BCH (1.18 USD) on sending form, when I put anything over 0.15 BCH to be transferred, red message shows up saying> "Use total available minus fee: 0.15302422 BCH". Feck it means 160 USD transaction fee!! I know it should be a lot lower, does it mean that blockchain.info still use the BTC core algorithm to calculate the bloody fee? any way out of this??

    Address of new wallet

    Posted: 27 Jan 2018 03:01 AM PST

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm new to BCH. I created a wallet using cashaddress.org. The public address had the label "bitcoincash:" before the hash itself. I tried to see if the wallet shows up on blockdozer.com. The wallet appears only when I search for the label + hash. does it mean that when i send bch to this wallet, I need to use the label + hash? I'm asking because on other places I see no mention of the bitcoincash: label. Also, for some reason on blockchair.com my wallet doesn't show up at all, with or without the label.

"Method not found (code -32601)" whenever I try to use any command in BitcoinABC debug console.

    Posted: 26 Jan 2018 05:27 PM PST

I know my wallet password and can send coins and sign messages just fine.

But if I try to unlock my wallet so I can dumpprivkey to an address, I will type the unlock wallet command for sixty seconds. For example, "walletpassphrase cornnuggetsrock 60"

    But it shows the message:

    Method not found (code -32601)

Usually, it is supposed to say "null", for when the command works. But none of my commands are working. But anything else that requires my password, such as sending coins, or signing a message, works just fine.

Does anyone know how to make my commands work? I can't do "dumpprivkey" or "walletpassphrase" commands and many of the other ones. It just shows that same message of Method not found (code -32601).

The strange part is that the "walletlock" command works. It returns the "null" message in debug console, instead of "Method not found (code -32601)".

Thank you for all the help.

I have tried BitcoinABC 0.16.1 and 0.16.2 and both of the versions will do this. My computer is windows 10 operating system. If that helps. The computer has never opened an internet browser ever. (Purchased brand new a few months ago). All wallet downloads checksums SHA256 signatures have been checked and downloaded prior to installation onto the computer through a USB drive scanned for malware before plugging it in. So the computer is 100% clean.

    EDIT:

    PROBLEM SOLVED 01/26/18:

ANSWER: Quotation marks are required around your passphrase when using any of the debug commands.
